From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

INSPIRATION

Jesus was teaching, and some of His followers had a hard time with what He said, so they turned away. Read John 6 to see what Jesus said, you might struggle to accept it too. After they turned away, Jesus asked if His disciples wanted to leave Him too, but they said they had nowhere else to go because they knew Jesus was the Holy One of God. Do you believe Jesus is the Holy One sent by God? Is He worth being followed?

PRAYER 🙏

LORD, You know my heart better than any other. You know what I believe and what I don’t believe. You know my character, my strengths, my weaknesses, and everything about me – even every thought. Help me to know myself. Help me to firmly know what I believe about You. Never let me turn my back on You. Help me to see You are the truth. In Jesus’ name.

When Paul was in Ephesus, Onesiphorus was very good to him when others were not. So Paul prayed that the LORD would give mercy to Onesiphorus and his house. Is there anyone in your life who has been profoundly good to you? Pray for the LORD’s mercy and favor in their life.

Prayer 🙏

LORD, I pray for those who have been good to me, for those who have shown me kindness when others did not, and for those who sacrificed for me. Grant them mercy and bring them to You. Let them have Your favor through the course of their life. Bring them to your salvation, and grant them wisdom in times they need direction. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
