Dear Brethren,
Today is January 29, 2024 and we are left with two (2) more days to the end of the month. If you will agree with me, we have approximately 11 months to the end of the year. I have just a question for you, is the new year bringing something new to you life or is it that you are experiencing the extension of the 2023 story? you will need to answer this question genuinely because if you fail to do so; you will be deceiving yourself; and if care is not taking 2024 will be like your regular routine, God forbid.
Let's learn a great lesson from King David, on how to face the moment of stoning, that is a moment of distress, stagnancy, failure, or a moment of confusion in our lives.
1 Samuel 30 : 6 & 8
" 6. Now David was greatly depressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, everyman for his sons and his daughters. But David encouraged himself in the Lord. 8. And David enquired at the lord saying Shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? and he answered him; pursue, for thou shall overtake them, and without fail recover all".
Brethren, there is a great lesson for us here in life there will be a moment of stoning even from your closest ally. It will be a moment where everyone seems to have abandoned you. a moment when no man seems to be a friend, a bother, or a sister. However, what you do during this defining matters. Instead of writing yourself off, committing su***de, you can encourage yourself in the Lord, reminding yourself that God keeps a everyman for a purpose. Therefore, instead of running here and there, go on your knee and genuinely ask god for direction. Then wait for his response. it won't matter how long you have to wait, what matter is your faith and patience to wait, so that his will for your life can come to pass.
Many a time, we jump into action because of the resources at our disposal, and in the end, it is a bad story. As a child of, remember that the leading of the Holy Ghost is primary and our physical sight and thoughts are secondary. This is because, we cannot see beyond our sense of reasoning. Total faith and dependence on God is what will make a man to expect an highway opening in the red sea. Until you come to this physical blindness and have absolute faith in God, your life will not change and you will just roam years and years.
The good news is for a man who put aside his wealth of knowledge, material wealth, his connections etc and seek God. This man will succeed in al that he does, because when God speak, he brings it to pass.
Do you want to have a new beginning? it doesn't matter the magnitude of your problem. Seek God's direction firstly. This should be the way of a man who want to fulfil purpose.
