Yesterday was a great day as young people engaged in a thought-provoking debate on the topic: “Is it possible to be a true Christian without attending church?”

It was a lively and fascinating discussion as we learned from the young people who turned up to share their perspectives and defend their points.

We continue today at 4:00 PM with a drama focused on issues affecting young people.

We began our Youth Week with a seminar on the topic, “Discipline: The Key to Achieving Your Goals.”

We were blessed to have Mr. Thomas Gmawlue, Jr who facilitated the session and shared valuable insights on the importance of discipline in achieving our goals and reaching our full potential.

We continue tomorrow with a debate on issues affecting young people. We look forward to another engaging and insightful session.

The Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) of St. Joseph’s Parish – Our Lady of Lebanon, Capitol Hill, is excited to invite everyone to join us for a special Youth Month Activities Celebration from 17th–30th August.

Get ready for an exciting lineup of activities designed to inspire, empower, unite, and celebrate our young people. The celebration will feature a Youth Life Seminar, Youth Debate Challenge, Drama Night, Movie Evening, Worship Night, Youth Olympics, Cleaning Up & Decoration, and the Youth of the Year Program & Thanksgiving.

It will be a wonderful time of faith, fellowship, learning, talent, service, sports, entertainment, and appreciation as we come together to celebrate the energy and potential of our youth.

Over the weekend, the President, Elijah A. Jallah and Vice President, Ishmael Zebedee represented our youth group at the Archdiocesan Youth Assembly Second Quarter Sitting, held at Holy Innocents Parish, New Matadi.

The Assembly brought together youth leaders from across the Archdiocese to review our successes, discuss challenges, and chart the way forward for youth ministry.

Speaking on behalf of our group, the Vice President highlighted the achievements we have recorded during the reporting period and reaffirmed our commitment to service and excellence.

Our youth group has earned a reputation for turning plans into action, and by God's grace, we will continue to faithfully execute our programs and initiatives for the growth of the Church and the empowerment of young people.

Once again, congratulations to our President on his appointment by the AYA as Chairman of the Monrovia Deanery of the Archdiocese of Monrovia.

In this role, he will coordinate the activities of the six parishes within the Deanery, supported by two committee members. He has also been appointed Secretary of the AYA Planning Committee, where he will assist in the planning and ex*****on of the Association's activities.

Mr. President, thank you for continually raising the bar through your dedication and leadership. We are confident in your abilities and wish you success in these important responsibilities. Congratulations once again!

Congratulations to our President, Elijah A. Jallah, on his appointment by the AYS to serve as Chair of the Steering Committee for this year’s Youth Festival.

This appointment is a clear reflection of the confidence reposed in his leadership and the consistent way he has stood tall above his peers through dedication, discipline, and service.

In this capacity, he will lead a six-member committee and establish sub-committees to effectively coordinate and execute the plans necessary for a successful festival.
