Today, Pope Leo invites everyone around the world to commemorate the feast day of the Queenship of Mary by fasting and offering up prayers for peace in places ravaged by violence.

"I invite all the faithful to devote the day of 22 August to fasting and prayer, imploring the Lord to grant us peace and justice, and to dry the tears of those who suffer as a result of the ongoing armed conflicts. Mary, Queen of Peace, intercede so that peoples may find the path to peace."

Es hermoso estar con Jesús.

La compasión de Jesús por quienes sufren manifiesta la amorosa cercanía de Dios, que viene al mundo para salvarnos. Cuando Dios reina, el hombre es liberado de todo mal.

Queridos amigos, Cristo es la respuesta de Dios al hambre del hombre, porque su cuerpo es el pan de la vida eterna:

¡tomen y coman todos de Él!

La invitación de Jesús abarca nuestra experiencia cotidiana:

Para vivir, necesitamos alimentarnos de la vida, quitándosela a las plantas y a los animales. Sin embargo, comer algo exánime nos recuerda que también nosotros, por mucho que comamos, moriremos.
