As we continue in our Month of Spirit-Filled Families, Pastor Joseph Gardea Johnson IV reminded us through the sermon “The House That Jesus Chose” that a house chosen by Jesus is never ordinary.
When Jesus chooses a house:
1️⃣ He brings transformation.
His presence changes the atmosphere, the people, and the story of the house.
2️⃣ He changes what the house represents.
What was once known for one thing becomes a testimony of God’s presence, purpose, and glory.
3️⃣ He moves the house from information to intimacy.
It is not enough to know about Jesus; a Spirit-filled house must know Him, walk with Him, and cultivate intimacy with Him.
4️⃣ He commissions the house.
Jesus doesn’t choose a house just to bless it—He chooses it to send it. The house becomes a vessel for His purpose, reaching others and advancing His Kingdom.
May our homes not just be houses where people live, but houses where Jesus dwells, transforms, commissions, and is glorified.
