Title: "A Dangerous Exchange"
A little child once picked up a piece of gold.
He didn’t know its worth.
To him, it was just a shiny stone.
So when someone offered him a candy or a biscuit in exchange, he joyfully traded it.
He smiled, excited that he got something sweet.
He had no idea he had just given away something priceless.
You don’t blame the child.
He didn’t understand value.
Only guardians can protect a child from such loss.
And just like that child, many Christians today are walking around without guardians no Holy Spirit leading them, no spiritual parents guiding them so they trade away their own treasure for almost nothing.
Many believers exchange their God-given worth for temporary pleasures, emotional comfort, or material support.
Some sisters give their bodies to a man who is not their husband because he pays fees, buys food, or helps their family.
They call it love, care, or support but in truth, it is a dangerous exchange.
Others use s*x as payment for kindness.
For many, s*x has become a currency.
It has become a “thank you.”
A reward for help.
Even among those who call themselves Christians.
S*x, a gift reserved for marriage by God, has become something traded casually.
Some people even believe no young person can stay pure until 25 or 30.
They say there are “no more virgins,” and they laugh at those who strive for purity.
And when you speak about it, they call you judgmental, as if the Lord ever encouraged s*xual sin.
Jesus Himself said:
“Whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Matthew 5:28
If just a lustful look is sin, what then about the act itself?
Yet many try to excuse what God never excused.
Some Christians who are still keeping themselves are not doing so because they honor God’s instruction:
“To avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.” 1 Corinthians 7:2
Instead, they are abstaining only because the “right” brother or sister has not come their way yet the one who will offer money, food, or comfort.
Where are we heading?
This generation sees truth as condemnation.
Standards have become optional.
Purity is mocked.
Sin is celebrated.
People even say, “It’s impossible to live without s*x.”
But since when did human weakness become God’s standard?
Thank God for those who continue to stand.
Heaven is proud of you.
Your fight is not in vain.
Be firm.
Be unmovable.
Remain rooted in the faith.
Don’t trust your own strength:
“By strength shall no man prevail.” 1 Samuel 2:9
This battle is fierce.
Temptations come dressed as kindness, love, care, or attention.
People may call you foolish for fleeing sin.
They may say, “It was free of charge.”
But what they call “free,” God calls a total change of destiny a dangerous exchange.
S*xual purity is possible.
S*xual sin is dangerous spiritually, emotionally, physically.
If someone is struggling burning with desire and pretending to be strong the Bible gives the solution plainly:
“If they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.”
1 Corinthians 7:9
Don’t deceive yourself.
Don’t pretend to be what you are not.
Don’t play with the fire of sin.
I felt led to share this.
Not to condemn, but to awaken.
Not to shame, but to remind us of the value God placed in us.
Just like the child with the gold, many don’t understand their worth.
But God does.
He wants us to guard the treasure He placed within us.
And purity or true purity is still possible.
