Raising the Banner of Faith: The 184th Annual Feast Begins!

Today, our hearts unite in profound joy and devotion as we hoisted the sacred flag of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Palliyawatta, officially marking the commencement of our 184th Annual Feast!

For nearly two centuries, generations of our parish family have gathered under the maternal protection of our Blessed Mother. As the flag fluttered high against the sky today, it stood as a powerful symbol of our enduring faith, our hope, and our gratitude for the countless blessings bestowed upon our community.

Let us drape ourselves in her spiritual Scapular of grace, love, and humility. We invite all of you—our parishioners, pilgrims, and friends—to join us in prayer and devotion throughout this festive season.

“Under the loving mantle of Mary, our Mother, let us walk together in faith.”
