You want to find yourself? The world is urging you to do so. As if recreating and controlling your life will bring you peace.
It won’t.
You want to find your life?
Then lose it.
Lose every inch of it in Jesus Christ.
That is where your freedom is.
Because egos buried in Christ cannot be hurt.
Riches buried in Christ cannot be stolen.
Pain buried in Christ cannot be baggage.
Grudges buried in Christ cannot be wielded.
Relationships buried in Christ cannot be manipulated.
Feelings buried in Christ cannot be footholds.
Ambitions buried in Christ cannot be idols.
Time buried in Christ cannot be wasted.
Because if everything you are,
if everything that makes you tick,
if everything and everyone you have and hold is buried in Christ,
it is no longer yours,
and it is safe,
and you are free.
“For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” (Matthew 16:25.)
“For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3:3.)
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36.)
