By the grace of God, Cricket Fiesta ‘23 🏏 was a massive success!

We are so grateful for our Parish Priest, and all our Parishioners for all the support!❤️

Congratulations to our Ex-Youth Aiya’s who took home the Trophy 🏆 , and our Uncles (The boys) for putting up a good fight! Not forgetting all the other teams who participated on that day and made the event so energetic and entertaining!

It was such a pleasure to be able to bring this event back after 3 years because of the pandemic, and to see our Parish family uniting through Sports and having a good time! ❤️

🏏Cricket Fiesta ‘23 organized by the Youth Group of 2023 is an event you don't want to miss!

🏏The May day Cricket tournament has been a tradition in our church. However due to Covid-19, the Youth were unable to organize this event during the past few years.

🥳We are excited to finally get back to normal, and have all parishioners of our church be apart of this event!

The Oath Ceremony of the Youth Group was held on 26th of March 2023, where the new committee along with the members took their Oaths to serve the Lord with Love, Faith and Unity ❤️

Accordingly the new committee consists of;

President - Umaya Mallawa
Vice president - Feron Fernando
Secretary - Shevini Gunesekara
Assistant Secretary - Devin Warnakula
Treasurer - Ashean Kitchel
Assistant treasurer - Dironne Abeyratne

We have shared experiences, stories, bible passages during these meetings which have helped each and every Youth member!

We also have had many outdoor activities, games and fundraisers to build Unity within the Group and even during difficult times we still held our meetings Online.

Welcomed many new young members to our family within these few months🤍......

The Youth group organised a fundraiser on Good Friday (15th April 2022) to help raise funds for the Charity projects and support the people of the country in these difficult times we face together.

The first fundraiser project for the year 2022 organized by our team was a fruit juice stall.

We sold 2 types of fresh fruit juices after each mass on Sunday.
The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used for future charity projects. . .
The Youth wishes to thank all the parishioners who supported us.
