✨ SOLEMNITY OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY ✨

Today, we honor the profound mystery of God’s perfect love and preparation. From the very first moment of her conception, the Blessed Virgin Mary was preserved from the stain of Original Sin redeemed in advance through the future merits of Christ. This singular grace fulfills the promise of the proto-evangelium (Genesis 3:15), revealing Mary as “the woman” in total enmity with the serpent.

As the New Eve, unlike the first who brought disobedience and death, Mary’s pure and “full of grace” heart welcomed the Savior into the world through her humble obedience. God fashioned her as the holy and spotless vessel of the Incarnation, the model of the Church He desired to be “blameless” from the beginning.

May her Immaculate holiness inspire us toward purity of heart and perfect cooperation with God’s grace. 💙🙏✨

✨ FEAST OF ST NICHOLAS OF MYRA ✨

Today we honor the Feast of Saint Nicholas, the 4th-century Bishop of Myra whose legacy of secret generosity became the true foundation for the modern Santa Claus. Born to wealth but driven by faith, he is best remembered for the legendary act of saving three impoverished daughters by secretly tossing gold into their stockings—a story vividly recalled today through the traditions of placing oranges and candy canes in our shoes. Yet, his feast invites us to go deeper than simple treats by distinguishing the holy Bishop from commercial icons and actively imitating his spirit of care for the vulnerable. Whether it is teenagers making blankets for the cold, children delivering secret stockings to friends, or a community advocating for the dignity of migrants, we celebrate Saint Nicholas best when we turn our attention to the needy and perform acts of charity that expect nothing in return.

අද ශුද්ධවූ ත්‍රීත්වයේ මංගල්‍යය දිනයි. ශුද්ධවූ ත්‍රීත්වය හරියට ජලය වගේ. ඝන, ද්‍රව, වායු ලෙස පැවතුනද ඇත්තේ එකම ජලයයි. මෙසේ ශුද්ධවූ ත්‍රීත්වය තුන් ආකාරයකින් ක්‍රියා කලද ඇත්තේ එකම තැනැන් වහන්සේය. දෙවියන් වහන්සේ , ජේසුස් වහන්සේ , ශුද්ධාත්මයාණන් වහන්සේ විවිධාකාරයෙන් ලෝක ආරම්භයේ සිට අපට ප්‍රකාශ විය. ශුද්ධවූ ත්‍රීත්වය තුළ ඇත්තේ පුදුමාකාර බැදීමකි. අප එකිනෙකා මව , පියා , දරුවන් ලෙස මෙම ත්‍රීත්වික බැදීමට ඇතුලත් වෙමු. එසේ එකිනෙකා ගැන ඉවසමින් , සමාව දෙමින් , තේරුම් ගනිමින් ත්‍රීත්වික දෙවිදුන් සමග ගමනක් යන්නට අදිටන් කර ගනිමු.

පියාණන් වහන්සේ මුළු ලෝකයම මැවීමට පෙර සිටම පුත්‍රයාණන් වහන්සේ පියාණන් වහන්සේ සමග සිටි බව හිතෝපදේශය පෙන්වා දෙයි. අප විශ්වාසයෙන් හා ඉවසීමෙන් දෙවියන් වහන්සේ තුල සිටි නම් ඔවුන් වහන්සේ අප දුන් ශුද්ධාත්මයාණෝ අපව ප්‍රේමයෙන් පුරවන බව පෙන්වා දෙයි.
