Most Venerable Kalasuri Dr. Mapalagama Wipulasara Maha Thera (1925–2000) was a renowned Buddhist monk, scholar, and artist who served as the Chief Incumbent of Parama Dhamma Chethiya Pirivena from 1960 until his passing. He played a major role in developing the Pirivena into a center of Buddhist education, culture, and social service.

To honor his 100th birth anniversary and to commemorate his meritorious life, a month-long Dana Pinkama (almsgiving) will be held throughout August 2025. A free vegetarian lunch will be served daily from 11:30 am onwards at Parama Dhamma Chethiya Maha Pirivena, Ratmalana.

This noble event invites everyone to participate, offer merit, and remember the immense legacy of this great Thera.
