ලසාලියානු වංශකතාව ඉතිහාසගත කරමින් කිතුණු විශ්වාසය වෙනුවෙන් තම ජීවිතය පූජා කළ පළමු ලසාලියානු සහෝදර තුමන් ලෙස අභිසෙස් නැන්වු,

සුදුවර සොළමන් ලෙකර්ක් ලසාලියානු මුනිතුමෙනි,

දේව විශ්වාසය අඳුරු සේයාකඩින් වැසියන අද යුගයේ ඔබගේ ජිවිත පුජාව ලසාලියානු ලොවට සුපායා ආ මිණිකිරණයි....

ලසාලියානු පවුල අද ඔබ නමින් ගිගුම් නින්නාද දෙන්නේ ඒ අපිරිමිත වූ විශ්වාසයේ මුදුන් තලයේන් ඔබ ආදර්ශවත් වූ නිසයි...

දෙවිදු ඉදිරියේ විශ්වාසයේ අතරමං වූ අප උදේසා නිති යදිනු මැනේ...

St. Brother Solomon Leclercq FSC –
A Witness of Faith

Today, the Lasallian family joyfully remembers St. Brother Solomon Leclercq FSC, the first martyr of the De La Salle Brothers.

Born in France in 1745, Brother Solomon dedicated his life to God and to the mission of Christian education. As a Brother, he served as a teacher, administrator, community member and formator, always carrying out his responsibilities with humility and faith.

During the difficult days of the French Revolution, religious freedom was threatened and many priests and religious were imprisoned. Brother Solomon remained faithful to his vocation and to the Church. On 2 September 1792, he was martyred together with many other clergy and religious.

His life reminds us that faith is not only something we profess—it is something we live, especially when it is difficult. His courage challenges us to remain faithful to Christ, to serve generously and to stand firmly for what is right.

As Sri Lankan Lasallians, may his example inspire us to continue our mission of educating minds, touching hearts and transforming lives.

St. Brother Solomon Leclercq, intercede for us!

Give us strength to stand firm in faith and courage.
