We were delighted to welcome a group of Italian guests to Umandawa Global Buddhist Village as part of a Spiritual and Experiential Tourism Programme.

With a keen interest in Buddhist philosophy, they explored how the timeless teachings of the Buddha can be meaningfully applied to the challenges of modern, busy lives.

The guests were deeply impressed and amazed to witness how Umandawa has transformed and flourished within just a decade—evolving into a vibrant space for spiritual learning, mindful living, sustainable development and harmony with nature.

Their visit was a beautiful exchange of cultures, wisdom and experiences, reminding us that the universal message of the Buddha transcends borders and brings people together in the search for peace, wisdom and inner awakening.

අද දින (2026 08 16 ) නිකිණි මස විපස්සනා දේශනාව Siri Sadaham Ashramaya දී පැවැත්වු අතර එහිදී Siri Samanthabhadra Arhat Maha Thero විසින් පෙර නොඇසු දහම දේශනා කළ සේක.

උන්වහන්සේ එම දේශනාව හරහා අතීතයේ පසු කර ආ දත්ත වලට මිනිසුන් බැඳීම පිලිබඳව හා දිනක රාත්‍රියේ නින්දෙන් පසු එම සියලු දත්ත වලින් නිදහස්ව උදෑසන අවදී වූ පුද්ගලෙකු කෙසේ හැසිරෙයිද යන්නද,
අවබෝදය ලැබූවෙකු හා අවබෝදය නොලැබූවෙකුගේ ජීවන රටාව පිලිබඳවද,
අවබෝදයට මිනිසෙකුගේ බාහිර ඇඳුම් පැලඳුම්, සීල වෘත කිසිවක් අදාල නොවන බවද,
මාර්ගය පවතින්නෙ ශක්තිය මතම නොව තමා විටින් විට මුවහත් කරගන්නා ප්‍රඥාව මත බවද, දර කපන්නන් හා පොරව උදාහරණ ලෙස ගනිමින් උන්වහ්න්සේ විසින් පැහැදිලි කලහ.
එමෙන්ම අලුත් පරිසර හා විවිධ සංස්කෘතිවල මිනිසුන් ඇසුරු කිරීමෙන් තමාගේ ආධ්‍යාත්මික පුලුල් බව දැන ගත හැකි බවද උන්වහන්සේ විසින් තව දුරටත් පැහැදිලි කල දුන්හ.

අනතුරුව ශ්‍රමදානය හා මාසයක් පාසා දෙනු ලබන යාචක දානයෙන් අනතුරුව අද දින වැඩසටහන නිමාවට පත් විය.
