in the explanation about beings of parallel universes , and infinite worlds, Buddhism explains about heavenly beings; gods, who take energy from pleasure and leisure dark side and light side. and also explains about those who gain energy using only the cosmos energy. they do not desire on leisure or pleasure simply what they desire is concentrating meditating and earning and feeling the high energy of the universe. they are called Brahma; celestial beings.
As to Buddha, They have much wisdom, knowledge about universe. They are more powerful than the demons or gods or humans. They can travel in space, and change to any form, can change matter into any form, they can destroy worlds and create worlds, one day on earth is a few milliseconds there so they see worlds get destroyed and reformed again and again in a daily basis. therefore Brahma beings believes they live forever; that they are eternal beings.
for an example if you have watched the movie MARVELS The Gaurdians of Galaxy the second movie , you might find a similar character for a Brahma as ego ; the celestial.
But Buddha explains even the celestial beings doesn't live forever.
Ones while Buddha was walking by with Ananda thero near the Dharma Hall, there was a Rooster near it, eating the grains around the hall and using it as its home, Buddha simply smiled with utmost care and Ananda thero saw this.
after a while Ananda thero asked Buddha about the reason to smile by seeing that Rooster.
Ananda that rooster was ones a great powerful celestial brahma being.. after his death due to is early endless karmas in samasara, he was born as a rooster in to the animal kingdom.
