🚀🌑 Journey to Mercury: Episode 1 - Under a Burning Sky
Imagine... getting the chance to take a road trip across the universe. How insane would that be? Well, that’s exactly the ride we are going on today with NeonCanvas! Our first stop? The very first planet in our solar system... Mercury. But guys, let me warn you right now, this is NOT going to be a chill vacation!
While packing our NeonCanvas bag, if you ask, "Hey, should we pack an umbrella?"—I'd probably kick you out. It literally never rains there. An ice cream? It’ll vaporize before we even launch. What about just wearing shorts? Oh boy... do that, and you'll literally become a human BBQ in one second! 😅
Alright, things are getting serious. Seatbelts on... 3, 2, 1... Boom! 🚀
As our spaceship blasts forward, the front window is blinded by a massive, terrifying ball of fire. That’s our Sun. And as we get closer, hiding right inside those solar flames, you see a tiny, grey, beat-up iron ball. That’s Mercury.
We’ve just landed on the surface. You open the door, take your first step out, and... wow. It’s an amazing feeling. Your body weight drops by more than half! If you weigh 100kg on Earth, you only feel like 38kg here. You literally feel like you're floating...
BUT BRO... that fun only lasts for exactly one second!
Suddenly, you are hit with a suffocating, skin-melting heat. It feels like ten million heaters were just turned on and pointed directly at your face. The temperature here is 430 Degrees Celsius (800°F)! 🔥 Drop an egg on a rock, and it won't just fry—it will instantly turn to ash.
You look around, and it looks exactly like our Moon. Grey dust, massive boulders, and giant craters everywhere like a warzone. Do you know why? Mercury has absolutely zero atmosphere. It has no protective shield. So, for billions of years, every single asteroid flying through space has been smashing right into its face without any brakes. It’s a lonely, battered world. ☄️
Now, look up at the sky. Even though it's broad daylight, the sky isn't blue—it is pitch black! And right in the middle of that black sky is a Sun that looks three times bigger and a hundred times more terrifying than it does from Earth.
Now you might be thinking, "Alright, I'll just bear the heat until it gets dark." Well, here is the craziest part of the story! 🤯
Mercury is incredibly lazy when it comes to spinning. For just ONE full day to pass here (from sunrise to sunrise), it takes 176 Earth days! That means this skin-melting, blinding daylight you're standing in right now? It will stay exactly like this for MONTHS. How do you even survive that?
But wait... when this months-long day finally ends and the sun goes down, the entire planet flips upside down. That thick Winter Jacket hidden at the bottom of your bag? You are absolutely going to need it to survive. Why?
Because in that months-long, pitch-black night... even your blood is going to freeze. We'll talk about that crazy plot twist in Episode 2! ✌️✨
