නව පාප් වහන්සේ ලෙස Robert Prevost තේරී පත්වෙයි

නව පාප් වහන්සේ ලෙස ඇමෙරිකානු ජාතික Robert Prevost තේරී පත්ව තිබෙනවා.

නව පාප් වහන්සේ තෝරා ගැනීම සංකේතවත් කරන සුදු දුමාරය සිස්ටයින් දේවස්ථානයේ චිමිනියෙන් මීට සුළු මොහොතකට පෙර නිකුත් වුණා.

මේ වන විට 40,000 කට වැඩි ජනතාවක් ශාන්ත පීතර චතුරශ්‍රය අසළට රැස්වී ප්‍රීති ඝෝෂා කරමින් සිටිනවා.

නව පාප් වහන්සේ තෝරා ගැනීම සඳහා වන ඡන්ද වලින් කාදිනවල්වරුන් 133 කගේ සහභාගීවයෙන් දින දෙකක් පුරා පැවති අතර ඡන්ද වට 3 ක් අසාර්ථක වීමෙන් අනතුරුව හතර වන ඡන්ද වටයේදී නව පාප් වහන්සේ මෙලෙස තෝරා පත් කර ගැනීම සිදු වුණා.
