🪷 Ruwanweliseya – Anuradhapura

“Standing majestically through the centuries, Ruwanweliseya remains a timeless symbol of devotion, peace, and the enduring heritage of Buddhism.” 🙏🤍

Ruwanweliseya, also known as the Ruwanwelisaya Stupa, is one of the most sacred Buddhist monuments in Sri Lanka. Situated in the ancient city of Anuradhapura, it was built by King Dutugemunu and is traditionally associated with sacred relics of the Buddha. Surrounded by rows of elephant statues and a peaceful sacred atmosphere, Ruwanweliseya continues to be a place where thousands of devotees gather to worship, meditate, offer flowers, and pay homage.
