“Be sealed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit!” 🔥🕊️

On the 18th of July 2026, the parish community of St. Anthony’s Church, Kollupitiya, witnessed a beautiful milestone of faith. 50 candidates received the Sacrament of Confirmation, marking their full initiation into the Catholic Church.

The Holy Mass and the Sacrament were conferred by His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Anton Ranjith, the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Colombo.

May the gifts of the Holy Spirit guide the newly confirmed, strengthen them, and light their path as they step forward as true witnesses of Christ.

On July 12th, 2026, St. Anthony’s Church, Kollupitiya and St. Mary’s Church, Bambalapitiya came together for a beautiful joint celebration of the Corpus Christi Feast.

It was a profound and joyful public manifestation of our faith as we accompanied the Blessed Sacrament through our streets, proclaiming the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.

The pinnacle of our Annual Feast! 🌟

Today, our community gathered in glorious thanksgiving for the Solemn Festive High Mass. We were deeply honored to welcome Very Rev. Fr. Lalith Patrick Perera, Procurator General of the Archdiocese of Colombo, as our Chief Celebrant.

Following the beautiful liturgy, the joy continued as we gathered for breakfast to celebrate our parish feast and share our warmest wishes for the Chief Celebrant’s birthday. The festive morning was made even more memorable by the wonderful melodies of the Police Orchestra! 🎺🎂

Anticipation and joy fill our hearts! ✨

Last night, we gathered for the Solemn Vespers Service, beautifully presided over by Very Rev. Fr. Quintus Fernando, Rector of the National Seminary of Our Lady of Lanka, Ampitiya.

Following the service, our community walked in deep faith during the solemn Procession with the Statue of Saint Anthony. We concluded with the moving consecration of our parish, the final blessing, and a joyful parish get-together! 🤝🎉
