*To Be "Worldly Minded" means to be controlled by Passions and Desires of The Flesh.

*To be Godly minded like Jesus Jesus, means to CARRY the CROSS daily to SERVE OTHERS , to welcome strenger, to visit the sick, to be a good Samartian, to be last to be in order to be the first, to be like a little child, to be poor in Spirit, to enter through the NARROW DOOR.
THIS IS THE SIGN OF OVERCOMING THE WORLD.

JESUS and His DISCIPLES in were in the UPPER ROOM celebrating His LAST SUPPER.

Jesus tells his disciples that life is a mixture of sorrow and joy, weeping and rejoicing, anguish and ecstacy.

But such moments of sorrow, tears, and anguish do not last long.

THERE WILL BE A BRIGHT LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL.
Trees shed old leaves only to produce new fresh ones.
The grain of wheat dies in order to produce a new plant and more grains.

JESUS' DEPARTURE and ASCENSION into HEAVEN was both an END and a BEGINNING for his Disciples.
While it was the end of Jesus' PHYSICAL PRESENCE with his disciples, it marked the BEGINNING of Jesus' PRESENCE with them in a NEW WAY.

JESUS PROMISED THAT HE WOULD BE WITH THEM ALWAYS TO THE END OF TIME.

The Glorified and Risen Lord and savior, ascended to the right hand of the father.

Jesus gives us new life in his Spirit and Strengthens us in faith, hope and love so we can Serve Him, and carry on his work.

How can be effective witnesses for christ?

JESUS spoke to his Disciples his imminent departure.
Separation, loss of relationship often lead to grief and pain.
He promised them, they will never be left alone.

Saint Paul reminds us that" nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. "

The Holy Spirit is our advocate and Helper who guides and strengthen us and brings us safely through the challenges and adversites we face.

Jesus warned his disciples that they could expect Persecution Just as Jesus was opposed and treated with hostility.
We have been given the Holy Spirit to help as live as Disciple of Jesus.

JESUS leaves no middle ground for his followers.

THE WORLD in Scripture refers is the society of people who are hostile towards God and opposed to his will.

WE ARE EITHER FOR HIM or AGAINST HIM.
For The KINGDOM Of TRUTH or for THE KINGDOM Of DARKNESS and DECEPTION.

Jesus demand is unequivocal and without compromise.
We must make a choice.

Do you seek to please God in all your intentions, actions, and relationships?

If we want to live in the light of God's truth, we will submit to his truth and obey his word.

JESUS gave his disciples a new commandment - a new way of loving and serving one another.
*JESUS' LOVE WAS WHOLLY DIRECTED TOWARD THE GOOD OF OTHERS.

What is the greatest acts of love which can give for the sake of another?

Jesus' discourse on friendship and brotherly love echoes the words of proverbs: A friend loves at all times: and a brother is born for adversity.

The distinctive feature of Jesus' relationship with his disciples was his Personal, loyal, and Sacrificial love for each one of them. He loved his own to the end.

*HIS LOVE WAS UNCONDITIONAL AND WHOLLY DIRECTED TO THE GOOD OF OTHERS.
HIS LOVE WAS COSTLY SACRIFICAL.

GOD MADE US IN LOVE. FOR LOVE.
His love fills our hearts and transforms our minds and frees us to give ourselves in loving service to others.

Today Jesus reminds us of his ringing call:
" TO BEAR FRUIT THAT REMAIN. "

The Lord commands, graces, and chooses us to bear fruit which is Abundant.
(John 15:5)
And lasting.
( John 15:16)
This means that we are chosen to lead many people to a total commitment to the Lord.

We know that only fruits that remain and abide are Fruits provided by the Holy Spirit.

JESUS LOOKING FOR A GENEROUS RESPONSE:
