" My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it.

JESUS teaches us that those who HEAR the WORD of GOD and OBSERVE it belongs to a NEW FAMILY.

Who do you love and cherish the most?
The Lord calls us his mothers, brothers,sisters: he chose us as members of his family beyond and above the blood ties.

What binds us to him is HEARING the WORD of GOD and PUTTING it to PRACTISE.

What is the essence of being a Christian?
*For us to live out the Word, we must be open to it with Sincerity, Obedience and love.

*THESE ARE THE QUALITIES THAT SHINE OUR IN THE MOTHER OF JESUS WHO WAS THE FIRST TO HEAR THE WORD AND KEEP IT.

THE WORD OF GOD CREATES A NEW FAMILY.
Allow the Holy Spirit to transform you daily.

*Today we start the first day of The Nine day Novena to our Patron Saint Thérèse little flower.
Dedicating the nine days praying her miraculous Novena.

Many have received A ROSE " from Saint Thérèse during the No as an answer to Prayer.

" I say quite SIMPLY to the GOOD GOD what I want to tell Him, He ALWAYS UNDERSTANDS ME."

Prayer:
SAINT THÉRÈSE, HELP US TO COME BEFORE OUR HEAVENLY FATHER WITH A SIMPLE HEART.

The Feast Of Saint Matthew, Apostle, Evangelist,and Martyr.

Today's Readings:

Mathew 9:9
" follow me"

JESUS encountered Mathew in his tax office.

Today the Gospel penned by Mathew deals with CHOICE, THE CALL and the ANNOINTING OF MATTHEW.

Why did Mathew respond to the call of Jesus at once?

Mathew the tax collector, was despised by people, he YEARNED FOR CHANGE.

Saint Augastine teaches that every TRUE DESIRE is a PRAYER crying our to GOD.
God himself plants every GOOD DESIRES in OUR HEARTS.

*WORLD looked at Mathew a tax collector a public Sinner.

*JESUS looked at Mathew, he saw a restless heart, longing for God, longing to change.

" TO LIVE is to CHANGE and to BE PERFECT is to HAVE CHANGED OFTEN."
( Saint Henry Newman)

No one is ever too lost to be saved by God Amazing grace.

*We all need to YEARN to CHANGE daily.

*LET US TAKE TIME TODAY TO SEARCH OUR HEARTS IN PRAYER.
A Deep desire to change.

Paul the Apostle describes his own calling:
"... Even though I was once a blasphermer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because i acted in ignorance and unbelief.The grace our lord poured out on me abundantly... "
(1 Timothy 1:12-14)

JESUS delights MERCY.

*We also prepare for the Nine day Novena to Saint Therese from 22nd to 30th of September.

Saint Therese prepare our hearts we pray.

Today I pray, like Saint Mathew, help me to hear your call.

Our 9-Day Novena to our beloved St. Thérèse, the Little Flower of Jesus, will begin on 22nd September and conclude on 30th September.

Let us set aside these nine blessed days to place our personal intentions at her feet and humbly seek her powerful intercession before the throne of God.

As St. Thérèse said:

“I will spend my heaven doing good on earth. I will let fall a shower of roses.”

Mathew 20:15
" Are you envious because Iam generous?

JESUS calls each one of us to Serve God and His Kingdom,
With a generous Spirit.

Do you give generously to others?
Especially to those in need of your care and support?

In the Parable of the Laborers in the vineyard we see the extraordinary generosity and compassion of God.

THOSE who started the faith journey early,
and have lived it for years....
THOSE who come on the faith Journey very late,towards the end of their lives...
THE LORD REWARDS ALL EQUALLY.

*GOD rewards each out of a HEART of CARE- MERCY shown to the latecomers, a FULL WAGE: Justice is shown to eager workers.

*OUR LIFE IN GOD IS A DEMONSTRATION OF GOD'S CARE AND GRACE.

*May we be generous like our master( Mathew 20:21) and bring the kingdom of God to as many people as possible.

Paul the Apostle reminds us,
" Whatever you task, work heartily, as serving the Lord and not others, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward - you are serving the Lord christ "
(Colossians 3:23-24)

*MAY WE HAVE THE GRACE TO GIVE.
TO IMITATE GOD'S GENEROSITY TODAY.
