🕌 **THE TRENCH OF MADINAH —
A LESSON IN FAITH, UNITY AND WISE PLANNING**
This illustration depicts the digging of **Al-Khandaq (the Trench)** during the Battle of the Trench, also known as **Ghazwat al-Aḥzāb**.
In the 5th year after Hijrah, a powerful alliance of enemy tribes advanced towards Madinah with the intention of defeating the Muslim community.
Upon learning of their approach, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ consulted his Companions. Sayyiduna Salman al-Fārisi رضي الله عنه suggested a defensive method used in Persia: digging a wide trench across the exposed side of Madinah. The Prophet ﷺ accepted this wise proposal and personally joined his Companions in digging and carrying the soil.
Despite severe hunger, cold weather, fear and exhaustion, the believers worked together with patience and complete trust in Allah. When the confederate forces arrived, the trench prevented them from entering Madinah. After a difficult siege, Allah sent powerful winds and fear into the enemy camp, causing them to withdraw without achieving their objective.
Allah reminds us:
**“O believers! Remember Allah’s favour upon you when forces came against you, and We sent against them a wind and forces that you could not see.”**
— *Surah Al-Aḥzāb 33:9*
The story of Al-Khandaq teaches us that:
✅ Consultation brings better decisions
✅ Good ideas should be accepted regardless of their origin
✅ True leaders work alongside their people
✅ Unity transforms weakness into strength
✅ Planning must accompany trust in Allah
✅ With patience and faith, Allah grants relief after hardship
May Allah unite our hearts, strengthen our faith and grant us wisdom and perseverance in every challenge. Āmīn.

🕌 **மதீனாவின் அகழி –
இறைநம்பிக்கை, ஒற்றுமை மற்றும் சிறந்த திட்டமிடலின் பாடம்**
இந்தப் படம் **கஸ்வத்துல் கந்தக் – அகழிப் போரின்போது** அகழி தோண்டப்பட்ட நிகழ்வைக் கற்பனையாகச் சித்தரிக்கிறது. இப்போர் **கஸ்வத்துல் அஹ்ஸாப் – கூட்டுப் படைகளின் போர்** என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.
ஹிஜ்ரி 5ஆம் ஆண்டில், முஸ்லிம் சமூகத்தைத் தோற்கடிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கில் பல எதிரிக் கோத்திரங்கள் ஒன்றிணைந்து பெரும் படையுடன் மதீனாவை நோக்கி முன்னேறின.
அவர்களின் வருகையை அறிந்த நபி முஹம்மத் ﷺ அவர்கள் தமது தோழர்களுடன் ஆலோசனை நடத்தினார்கள். அப்போது சல்மான் அல்-ஃபாரிஸி (ரழியல்லாஹு அன்ஹு) அவர்கள், பாரசீக நாட்டில் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்ட தற்காப்பு முறையான அகழி தோண்டும் திட்டத்தை முன்வைத்தார்கள்.
நபி ﷺ அவர்கள் அந்தச் சிறந்த ஆலோசனையை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டதுடன், ஸஹாபாக்களுடன் இணைந்து அகழி தோண்டுவதிலும் மண்ணைச் சுமப்பதிலும் நேரடியாகப் பங்கேற்றார்கள்.
கடும் பசி, குளிர், அச்சம் மற்றும் களைப்புக்கு மத்தியிலும், முஸ்லிம்கள் பொறுமையுடனும் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது முழுமையான நம்பிக்கையுடனும் ஒற்றுமையாகப் பணியாற்றினார்கள்.
கூட்டுப் படைகள் மதீனாவை வந்தடைந்தபோது, அந்த அகழி அவர்கள் நகருக்குள் நுழைவதைத் தடுத்தது. கடுமையான முற்றுகைக்குப் பின்னர், அல்லாஹ் பலத்த காற்றையும் அச்சத்தையும் எதிரிகளின் முகாமுக்குள் அனுப்பினான். இறுதியில், அவர்கள் தமது நோக்கத்தை அடைய முடியாமல் பின்வாங்கிச் சென்றனர்.
அல்லாஹ் கூறுகின்றான்:
**“நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! படைகள் உங்களிடம் வந்தபோது அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்குச் செய்த அருட்கொடையை நினைவுகூருங்கள். அப்போது நாம் அவர்களுக்கு எதிராக ஒரு காற்றையும், நீங்கள் பார்க்க முடியாத படைகளையும் அனுப்பினோம்.”**
— *ஸூரத்துல் அஹ்ஸாப் 33:9*
# # # அகழிப் போர் நமக்குக் கற்றுத்தரும் பாடங்கள்:
✅ ஆலோசனைகள் சிறந்த தீர்மானங்களுக்கு வழிவகுக்கின்றன.
✅ நல்ல யோசனை யாரிடமிருந்து வந்தாலும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட வேண்டும்.
✅ உண்மையான தலைவர்கள் மக்களுடன் இணைந்து பணியாற்றுவார்கள்.
✅ ஒற்றுமை பலவீனத்தையும் வலிமையாக மாற்றும்.
✅ அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது நம்பிக்கை வைப்பதுடன் முறையான திட்டமிடலும் அவசியம்.
✅ பொறுமையுடனும் இறைநம்பிக்கையுடனும் இருந்தால், கஷ்டத்திற்குப் பின்னர் அல்லாஹ் நிவாரணத்தை வழங்குவான்.
அல்லாஹ் நமது உள்ளங்களை ஒன்றிணைத்து, நமது ஈமானைப் பலப்படுத்தி, ஒவ்வொரு சவாலையும் எதிர்கொள்வதற்கான ஞானத்தையும் மனவுறுதியையும் நமக்கு வழங்குவானாக! ஆமீன்.
