Today I realized why sabr is given so much importance in Islam.

People often say "have sabr, be patient" as if it's something simple, but the truth is
- sabr is one of the hardest acts of worship.

No matter how strong your trust in Allah, no matter how beautifully you try to walk upon His deen, there comes a moment when life pushes you, when your heart longs for something deeply, when your test is tied to what you desire most. And in that moment... holding on to sabr feels almost impossible.

Sabr breaks you, shapes you, and then rebuilds you stronger. That is why Allah promises immense reward for the patient ones-because He knows how much it takes from us.

Sabr is not just waiting. It is waiting with faith.

وَهُوَ الَّذِیْ مَدَّ الْاَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ فِیْهَا رَوَاسِیَ وَاَنْهٰرًا ؕ وَمِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرٰتِ جَعَلَ فِیْهَا زَوْجَی...

وَهُوَ الَّذِیْ مَدَّ الْاَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ فِیْهَا رَوَاسِیَ وَاَنْهٰرًا ؕ وَمِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرٰتِ جَعَلَ فِیْهَا زَوْجَیْنِ اثْنَیْنِ یُغْشِی الَّیْلَ النَّهَارَ ؕ اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ یَّتَفَكَّرُوْنَ ۟

மேலும், அவன் எத்தகையவன் என்றால் அவனே பூமியை விரித்து. அதில் உறுதியான மலைகளையும், ஆறுகளையும் உண்டாக்கினான்; இன்னும் அதில் ஒவ்வொரு கனிவர்க்கத்திலிருந்தும் இரண்டு இரண்டாக ஜோடிகளை உண்டாக்கினான்; அவனே இரவைப் பகலால் மூடுகிறான் - நிச்சயமாக இவற்றில் சிந்திக்கும் மக்களுக்குப் பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.
