Feast of Our Holy Father St. Benedict

Today, with gratitude and joy, we celebrate the Feast of our Holy Father St. Benedict, the Patriarch of Western Monasticism and the founder of the Benedictine way of life.

Through his Holy Rule, he taught generations of monks and Christians to seek God in prayer, work, humility, obedience, and fraternal charity. His timeless motto, Ora et Labora ("Pray and Work"), continues to inspire countless faithful throughout the world.
