Venerable Ayyavisuddhiñāṇavivaṭṭadvipāṭimokkha, together with 12 Sangha Bhikkhunīs and 6 Upāsikā, traveled to Nagpur to conduct the ordination (pabbajjā) of 107 Nagpurian novice nuns (sāmaṇerīs) on 22 December 2025.
The event was organized by the Buddhajatuparisā Veshālī Foundation, under the leadership of Tipiṭaka Dhammācariya Theravāda Balabodhi Suchat Nak-on, and took place during 22–31 December 2025.
Following this, a Dhammacārikā carried out to disseminate the Dhamma from 1 to 10 January 2026.
Training Camp of the Buddhajatuparisā Vesālī Foundation
Nagpur — The Buddhajatuparisā Vesālī Foundation organized a training camp from 22 to 31 December at Shantivan Buddhist Vihāra, Chocholi City.
The training was led by Bhikkhunī Dvipāṭimokkha and Bhikkhunī Visuddhiñāṇa.
A total of 107 laywomen undertook pabbajjā (novice ordination) as sāmaṇerīs for a period of 10 days.
Details of the Training Camp
All sāmaṇerīs would receive intensive training in monastic discipline (Vinaya) and the teachings of the Buddha.
During the training period, there was piṇḍapāta (alms rounds / dhammacārikā) conducted at various locations throughout Nagpur City.
The program then include sessions on the study of the Vinaya, the cultivation and purification of body and mind, and the learning of the Dhamma.
The sāmaṇerīs had the opportunity to study under several bhikkhunīs.
I respectfully rejoice in the merit — sādhu, sādhu, sādhu — of the great wholesome deed performed by the Mahā Saṅgha, the Dhammācariya elders, the 107 pabbajjā candidates, and all supporting attendants on the occasion of the ordination of sāmaṇerīs in Nagpur, the sacred land of Buddhism.

Venerable Ayye SobhaṇaVara Ñāṇavivaṭṭa Dvipātimokkha Tipitaka served as the group’s representative to state and bless Dhamma which is Samantacakkhu 1 and Ñāṇa-mahākusala-citta 8 to Mahathero Bhante.
The venerable Bhante praised them, saying that they had given Abhidhamma.

Historical Account (Atīta Kālaya)
The Vara Maha Sanghamittā Arahant Therī, as the representative of the Great Dhammarāja King Asoka, proceeded as the chief of a group that included other 10 Arahant Theris (totally 11 Venerables) assigned to es**rt the Southern Branch (Dakkhiṇa Śākhāwa) of the Great Sacred Bodhi Tree. They departed from the city of Pāṭaliputra.

All of these Venerables were:
• Masters of the Two Pātimokkhas (Dvipātimokkhadhara).
• Masters of the Tipitaka (Tripitakadhara), bearing the 84,000 Dhamma Khandhas.
Travelling along with Great Upasakas and Upasikas, they embarked on a ship across the Ganges River and the ocean of the Buddha Land (India). They landed at Tambapaṇṇi Island (Sri Lanka).

King Devānampiya Tissa, the Great Dhammarāja, received the Great Sacred Bodhi and invited the branch to be planted at the Mahāmeghavana Park in Anurādhapura.

The 11 Venerable Ayye Bhikkhunis Proceeding from Thailand
are arranged by Vassa / Rains Retreat Seniority.

The Venerable Ayye Bhikkhunis listed here, are first ordered by those who have memorized the Two Pātimokkhas (the first 6 Venerables), and followed by Upasampadā (Ordination) seniority (the subsequent 5 Venerables).

All Ayye serve as the representatives of the 11 Arahant Theris who arrived at Tambapaṇṇi Island from Pāṭaliputra, follow the Vara Maha Sanghamittā Arahant Therī the group leader.

• ද්විපාතිමොක්ඛධර වූ සේක.
• අසූහාර දහසක් ධම්මක්ඛන්ධය සහිත ත්‍රිපිටකධර වූ සේක.
මහා උපාසක උපාසිකාවන් සමඟ නැව් නැග, ගංගා නම් නදිය ඔස්සේ බුද්ධ භූමියේ (ඉන්දියාවේ) සාගරය හරහා වැඩම කොට, තාම්රපර්ණි ද්වීපයට (ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට) ගොඩබට සේක. දේවානම්පියතිස්ස මහා ධම්මරාජයාණන් විසින් ශ්‍රී මහා බෝධීන් වහන්සේ පිළිගෙන, අනුරාධපුර මහමෙව්නා උයනෙහි රෝපණය කරන ලදී.

Devorohana Function at Tambapannideepa Vivatta Bhikkhuni Temple held on 07th October, 2025. Coordinated by Aiye Danasiri and Aiye Walawanna under the Advice and Guidence of Tipitaka Achariya Professor Suchat Nakon. The Chief monk of Thuparama Historical Temple was the Chief Guest of our Function. Everybody pay respect to Chief monk and two Aiye. We offered Milk rice (Madhupayasa) to Buddha Pata and distributed Breakfast packet for the people.
