Vehera Benda Kutiya Temple Vehera Benda Kutiya ancient temple locates at Shrawastipura, Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka and believed to be built in around 5-6 Centuries A.D. At Present, Ven. Ven.

Welisara Jinawansha Tissa Thero had re-established & re-developed this sacred place back to its old glorious days. For tremendous effort he has given to re-develop this hidden sacred land as well as the 4 surrounding villages, he has offered with the titles of “Asarana Sarana (the one who support for the needy)”. This title given for a pioneer monk who dedicated life for others wellbeing long time

back and Ven. Tissa Thero is the recent time receiver of this honor. He is also the “Chief incumbent of North Central Province”. Bhikku has restored and developed the 40 acre land belong to temple premises to a Bio Diversity hotspot. Because of the great effort made by Ven.Tissa Thero, this place is now attracting the attention of many local & international environmentalists. All these opportunities are to explore venerable thero's meritorious journey & many more activities happening in this ancient temple!

අපවත් වී වදාළ පූජ්‍ය වැලිසර ජිනවංශතිස්ස ස්වාමීන්වහන්සේගේ ආදාහන පූජෝත්සවය අනිද්දා සිදු කෙරෙනවා.

අනුරාධපුර ශ්‍රාවස්ථිපුර වෙහෙරබැද්ද කුටිය රජමහා විහාරාධිපති ධුරය දැරූ උන්වහන්සේ නාච්ඡාදූව ශාසනාරක්ෂක බල මණ්ඩලයේ සභාපති ස්වාමීන්වහන්සේ කටයුතු කළා.

උන්වහන්සේ අපවත් වන විට 65 වන වියේ පසු වුණා. ප්‍රදේශයේ ශාසනික හා සමාජ සේවාවන් රැසක් සිදු කළ අපවත්වී වදාළ පූජ්‍ය වැලිසර ජිනවංශතිස්ස ස්වාමීන්වහන්සේගේ දේහය පිළිබද ආදාහන පූජෝත්සවය අනිද්දා පස්වරුවේ ශ්‍රාවස්ථිපුර ආතර් ද සිල්වා ක්‍රීඩාංගනයේදී පැවැත්වීමට නියමිතයි.
