مجلس كنائس الشرق الأوسط يواصل حملة نور الرجاء
ومساعدات عينيّة تسهم في دعم النازحين في لبنان
وسط التحدّيات اليوميّة المتفاقمة في لبنان جرّاء تداعيات الحرب الّتي أرخت بظلالها في البلاد، تبقى قضيّة الإنسان أولويّة على كلّ الملفّات الأخرى. لذا بات ضروريًّا متابعة ومرافقة الأكثر حاجة بغية زرع الرجاء في قبولهم خصوصًا وإنّ إرادة الحياة هي الأقوى.
في هذا الإطار، يستمرّ مجلس كنائس الشرق الأوسط بحملة "نور الرجاء" الّتي كان قد أطلقها بهدف دعم المتضرّرين بسبب الحرب ومساعدتهم على تخطّي المصاعب الّتي تحيط بهم برجاء كبير.
في آخر مستجدّات عمل مجلس كنائس الشرق الأوسط، عملت دائرة الدياكونيا والخدمة الإجتماعيّة، مكتب لبنان، في المجلس، على توزيع مساعدات نقديّة متعدّدة الأغراض لـ820 عائلة، بمعدّل 3 أفراد لكلّ عائلة، ليصل العدد الإجمالي إلى 2460 فردًا. علمًا أنّه تمّ تنفيذ هذا النشاط مباشرةً بالتعاون مع وزارة الشؤون الإجتماعيّة اللّبنانيّة، وفقًا لسياساتها وإجراءاتها المتعلّقة بإدراج لوائح العائلات النازحة.
من جهّة أخرى، تمّ توزيع 2815 بطانيّة شتويّة إلى العديد من مراكز الإيواء في لبنان، إضافة إلى 2300 حزمة مياه شرب. كما تضمّنت المساعدات توزيع 275 مجموعة من مستلزمات التنظيف.
هذا ويواصل مجلس كنائس الشرق الأوسط دعم مراكز الإيواء الجماعيّة في جبل لبنان وبيروت والمناطق الّتي يصعب الوصول إليها في جنوب لبنان، وذلك من خلال تأمين مادّة المازوت لضمان اسنمرار الخدمات الأساسيّة فيها من ضخّ المياه، وتأمين الكهرباء، والإحتياجات الحيويّة.
وتجدر الإشارة إلى أنّ مجلس كنائس الشرق الأوسط يتابع أسبوعيًّا حال النازحين في مراكز الإيواء من أجل العمل على تأمين الحاجيّات الطارئة وبلسمة جراح الأكثر عوزًا.
MECC Continues Its “Light of Hope” Campaign
In-Kind Assistance Contributes to Supporting Displaced People in Lebanon
Amidst the escalating daily challenges in Lebanon resulting from the repercussions of the war that has cast its shadow over the country, the human cause remains a priority above all other issues. Therefore, it has become essential to continue supporting and accompanying the neediest people in order to sow hope in their hearts, especially since the will to live remains the strongest.
In this context, the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) continues its “Light of Hope” campaign, which it launched with the aim of supporting the affected people by the war and helping them overcome the hardships surrounding them with great hope.
As part of the latest developments in the MECC work, the MECC Diakonia and Social Service Department – Lebanon’s Office distributed multi-purpose cash assistance to 820 families, averaging 3 individuals per family, reaching a total of 2,460 individuals. This activity was directly carried out with the Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs – per their policy and procedure to include lists of internally displaced people (IDPs) families.
On the other hand, 2815 winter blankets were distributed to several collective shelters across Lebanon, in addition to 2300 packs of drinking water. The assistance also included the distribution of 275 cleaning kits.
Moreover, MECC continues to support collective shelters in Mount Lebanon, Beirut, and hard to reach areas in South Lebanon by providing diesel to ensure the continuity of essential services, including water pumping, electricity and vital necessities.
It is worth noting that the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) follows up weekly on the conditions of displaced people in collective shelters in order to provide urgent needs and alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable people.
