The Ambassador's Watch: "How Do You Dispense God's Gifts in Your Custody?"
Text: 'And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had' (Luke 21:1-4).
'Dearly beloved, all you are and all you possess are the Lord's.
You are a mere temporary custodian of the gifts of God. You will one day give an account to the just reckoner.
The poor widow held nothing back from the Lord. She gave her all unto the Lord.
No one saw her consecration. But the all-knowing Christ saw her.
There were others who were dispensing of their abundance into 'the offering of God.'
But they did not give their best unto the Lord.
Beloved, you are a custodian of God's gifts of time, treasures and talents.
How much of these gifts are you hoarding for yourself?
Let's be circumspective for a moment. 'What hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hast not receive it?'
God requires faithfulness from every steward of His.
You are a minister of God's graces. Endeavor to give your best unto the Lord.
Remember you do not own yourself.
'For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.'
Let God have His way with you. Give Him all He holds in your custody. Don't lay back any for your selfish use!' (Luke 21:1-4, 1 Corinthians 4:1-2, 7, 6:19-20, Colossians 3:22-25, 1 Peter 5:1-4, Romans 14:12).

The Ambassador's Watch: "The Overcoming Power of Faith"
Text: 'For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?' (1 John 5:4-5).
'Age, color, and physical prowess do not define spiritual game-changers.
It is faith.
Forty days were the hosts of Israel cowered down by the colossus of fear in their hearts. Men became spineless minions by the audacious bragging of the giant called Goliath until the 'ruddy stripling' showed up.
David was the game-changer for the frightened king Saul and his army.
Faith transforms a somber and depressive environment into a vivacious atmosphere. Faith dislodges the armor of fears, doubts and anxieties and clads the heart of the audacious with the armor of victory. David dared the giant by the invincible weapon of faith.
In a dazzling effontery of faith, he fell the giant and his minions fled.
Beloved, faith is the victory that overcomes the world. Be a game-changer in this fearful and faithless world. Put on the shield of faith. Step out with the sword of the Spirit.
No giant of fear or timidity shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life in Jesus's name!' (1 John 5:4-5, 1 Samuel 17:4-11, 34-37, 45-51, Mark 9:23, 11:22-24, Galatians 2:20, Ephesians 6:13-18).

The Ambassador's Watch: "The Litmus Test for the God-honouring Choices"
Text: 'Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life' (John 8:12).
'Life is a journey with an ultimate destination. As a pilgrim on earth, the Christian's destination is heaven.
To walk and work through life's rugged road, the pilgrim needs guidance.
Let Christ's be your light because He alone knows the way and the enduring truth that offers life eternal! Be mindful of Christ's personal dispositions, practices, and principles.
Set Christ's word, will as your light and your mirror always in all your life's choices.
Walk in His steps. Build your convictions on the precepts found in God's word.
Do not live by the opinions of finite men who are vulnerable to errors and flaws.
Let God's infallible word be the final arbiter on your life's choices.
In the complex crossroads of choices when neither Christ's practice nor the precepts of God's word seems to offer you definitive answers to your doubts, seek out tested principles which are rooted in Christ's practice and His profession.
Always ask yourself, 'Would Jesus accommodate these thoughts? Would He speak this way? Would He react to this situation the way I am reacting? What would Jesus do, were He to be in this circumstance?
If a pilgrim will consecrate himself to ceaselessly looking unto Jesus and doing always that which pleases the Lord, he will definitely finish his journey well and strong regardless of the thorns and thistles along the narrow way to heaven.
God's grace shall be sufficient for the wise pilgrim in Jesus's name!' (John 8:12, 5:30, 8:29, Romans 12:1-2, 14:17-21, Philippians 2:5, 4:8-9, Hebrews 12:2, 1 Peter 2:11-12, 21-23).

The Ambassador's Watch: "Learn From the Lord's Humility"
Text: 'And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him; Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded' (John 13:2-5).
'The creator in His self-emptying candor bent low to wash the feet of His disciples. He washed the feet of Judas Iscariot too.
Beloved, the lesson is self-crucifixion for us all. But then, there is the deeper and subliminal lesson in the action of Jesus our Lord.
Despite His knowledge of the hidden plot of Judas, He stooped to wash Judas' feet too...
He who professes to live for Christ must also project His life of spotless holiness.
The heart of Christ harbors no bitterness nor anger against Judas. The Lord saw beyond the treacherous act of Judas. He saw the eternal destiny of the human soul.
He who is privileged to have the spiritual insight into the hereafter, will be ever compassionate with every soul in danger of sliding into the eternal hell. What do you see in others? Their present careless actions
or the eternal consequences of their careless actions?
May the Lord give us such eyes that see other mortals in the light of eternity in Jesus's name!' (John 13:2-17, 18-30, 34-35, 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, Matthew 9:36-38, Ephesians 4:26-32).

The Ambassador's Watch: "The Pitiable Burden of the Unhealthy Wealth"
Text: 'And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God' (Luke 18:23-25).
'The rich ruler has a desire to inherit eternal life. But his covetous love for his wealth has possessed him.
Man is God's possession by creation and redemption. However, whenever a man's love for God's gift overrides his love for God, God's gift becomes his private god.
His wealth becomes an unhealthy wealth.
The rich man's intrinsic lack was his inability to let go of his wealth in order to embrace God as primal in his life.
Abraham was tested by God. And he heartily and unquestionably surrendered his only son Isaac whom he loved unto God.
Our love for God shall be tested one time or the other.
True faith in God is manifested through self-emptying love for God.
The measure of our love God is the measure of ourselves we are ready to give unto God.
Self-crucifixion is an imperative necessity towards the unfettered love that yields all unto God and His kingdom.
Heaven is a far country. It takes absolute faith in God and an unconditional love for Him to enter the street of gold.
Are you willing to let go all you are and have in order to win Christ?
It takes more than a verbal confession of faith. It's a personal death to the self-life, that produces the resurrected and glorious experience akin to Christ's unalloyed love!' (Luke 18:18-27, Genesis 22:1-3, 7-12, Luke 9:23-26, John 12:24-26, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Romans 6:6-11, Galatians 2:20).

The Ambassador's Watch: "The Unfailing Love of the Father is Yours Too"
Text: 'And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found' (Luke 15:28-32).
'The elder brother was shortsighted. He was limited in his understanding of eternal matters. He was ignorantly angry at the bounteous reception given at the return of his erstwhile lost brother.
Why should his father pour out his love lavishly upon his wasteful and selfish younger brother?
That was the question the elder brother couldn't unravel.
This was what pained the heart of this narrow-minded elder brother.
But the large heart of the father saw farther than the ignorant heart of his disgruntled son.
Beloved, God's infinite heart sees into eternity.
He sees His children as never-dying souls that must be rescued from present spiritual death so that they will not die eternally.
Beyond our earth-life is another life.
Man's limited and finite heart only sees now and he is unfortunately oblivious to what lies in the hereafter.
Mere religion majors on the outward appearances.
But when a man is privileged to possess a pure heart, he begins to see as God sees.
Beloved, let us pray that our heavenly Father will purify our hearts so as to see beyond the limited and sensual realm of man's existence.
Christ's mission on earth is to save sinners. And that includes every progeny of fallen Adam.
You too were a sinner once and like a lost sheep, a lost coin and a lost son, Christ found you and your restoration was celebrated in heaven.
Let's cultivate the compassionate heart of God and take the initiative of love to joyfully seek out the straying soul and gladly receive and celebrate them whenever they return to the Good Shepherd's fold!' (Luke 15:25-32, Ezekiel 18: 30-32, Hosea 6:1, Matthew 9:36-38,Luke 19:41-42, 2 Peter 3:9, Jude 1:21-23, Matthew 11:28, Hosea 14:1, 4-9).

The Ambassador's Watch: "Seeing As Christ Sees"
Text: 'In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest' (John 4:31-35).
'A man's life mission is largely defined by the vision that he possesses.
Whenever a powerful vision possesses a man, it elicits an insatiable passion within him that drives him to fulfill the mission of his life.
The Lord Jesus had seen heaven. He had seen hell. He had equally seen humanity as responsible and never-dying souls whose choices will determine their eternal destinies either in heaven or in hell.
Whenever a mortal man sees what Christ sees and knows what Christ knows, his life will never remain the same again.
His disciples were amazed by His revitalized energy when they returned with food for Him.
He was occupied with the primary mission of His life that He forgot He was hungry.
It was a time to pass an indelible lesson to His disciples.
Says He, 'My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.'
He was ever about His 'Father's business.'
Finishing that business was the driving passion of His life.
Beloved, you are owned through creation by God. And you owe a debt unto God and man through the redemption of your soul by Christ.
Your body is the temple of God 'and ye are not your own.'
Apostle Paul was a quintessential bondslave of Christ.
Says he, 'I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are in Rome also.'
That man was driven by the vision of heaven, of hell and was passionate that no mortal being will miss heaven through his neglect.
What about you?
What have you seen?
Have you seen the crucified Christ? Do you have an inner kick to work the works of Christ?
O Lord, open our inner eyes to see as Christ sees in Jesus's name!' (John 4:31-35, 9:4-5, Luke 16:19-26, 19:9-10, 2:49, Romans 1:14-16, 1 Corinthians 9:16-23, 6:19-20, Proverbs 24:10-24, 29:18, 2 Timothy 4:1-5).

The Ambassador's Watch: "God Owns You"
Text: 'And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God' (Luke 12:16-21).
'The thought of foolishness is sin.
It's a fool who thinks he owns himself and forgets he is a temporary, previleged custodian of God's riches.
The ruin of the foolish rich man begins with a selfish thought.
'He thought within himself...'
But he was thoughtless of the owner of his soul.
Fools live in the paradise of their jaundiced thought.
They build a paradise of their own imagination without putting God in their plans and projects.
'I will' is the first rung of ladder of selfish pride.
Whenever man's will seeks his front burners and back-benches God's will, the willful man has already dug his own grave.
'But God said unto him Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?'
Fools always perish in the midst of their years because they give not the first place to God in their hearts.
Beloved, God owns you. And 'thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth.'
Without God's imput in your life, you are a non-entity. Period!' (Luke 12:16-21, Psalm 14:1, Proverbs 24:9, Deuteronomy 8:18, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, John 15:5).

The Ambassador's Watch: "First Thing First"
Text: 'Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:31-33).
'Little minds sweat on little stuff. But great minds major on the eternally profitable stuff.
The stuff that outlives the earth-life is God's eternal kingdom and His righteousness.
Man begins to live the meaningful life when he acknowledges Christ as the gateway to God's kingdom and true righteousness. And he believes Him enough to totally commit his life to live to glorify Him alone.
You are a temporary tenant in your present body of clay.
If you expend your soul's energy on transient stuffs like food, drink and clothing, you are a pitiable ignoramus. And you are like the clueless servant who buries his talent and wasted his master's gift. And the consequences of such clueless and wasteful life are lethal.
Beloved, a man's life in the definition of the teacher from heaven 'consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.'
The life that truly counts in time and at eternity is not measured by your possessions, power, popularity, positions and privileges you enjoy on earth.
All these pass into tragic insignificance the moment your spirit exits your body on earth. And one day that will happen.
The enduring life and labours consist in what you sow to extend God's kingdom, glorify God, edify others.
These rare goods are transfered ahead of you into the secured bank in heaven.
They serve as the eternal gratuity reserved for you in heaven after your life and labours on earth are over.
Seek God's kingdom imperatives and His righteousness first. Then will your earthly possessions serve God's earthly purposes and accrue to you eternal blessings!' (Matthew 6:31-33, 19-21, Proverbs 23:5-6, Luke 12:15, John 6:27, 1 Corinthians 10:31-33, 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, 2 Timothy 4:6-8).

The Ambassador's Watch: "Recompense to No Man Evil for Evil"
Text: 'If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee' (Proverbs 25:21-22).
'He who carries the mind of Christ always initiates love and peace. He is never the source nor the sustainer of acrimony and bitterness.
He constantly chooses to walk away from strife, bitterness and unforgiveness.
When others choose to malign, maltreat and misunderstand him, he chooses to pray for them.
When babes in Christ throw tantrums at him, he reciprocates with tenderness and compassion.
He chooses the part of reconciliation rather than fueling acrimony and bitterness.
'Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.'
The Christlike servant denies himself by deliberately emptying himself of his ego in order to win the spiritual babies.
He lives with the constant consciousness that he is an ambassador of Christ. He is sent to sell Christ and reconcile the broken humanity to Christ.
He distances himself from the problems that causes the devil to rejoice.
Beloved, you are Christ's viceroy on earth. Always remember there is an adversary whose restive business is to undo the works of Christ among the brethren.
And your primary call is to 'follow peace with all men and holiness' not just for yourself but for the unregenerate and the untutored to see the Lord in the hereafter.
'Be renewed in the spirit of your mind. And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.'
The renewed mind never recompenses evil for evil. He lives as much as lies within him, peaceably with all men!' (Proverbs 25:21-22, Matthew 5:44-58, Philippians 2:5-8, Ephesians 4:23-24, Romans 12:17-21, 1 Peter 2:21-23, 2 Corinthians 5: 17-21).
