The church was inaugurated on the 16th of July 2016 while construction began on the 9th of May 2012. M Kamal Kai constructed this church after he has undergone a heart operation year 2009 to replace the aortic valve and while going through a dilemma of choosing a biological valve which was advised by Professor Carpentier or a mechanical one advised by the operating doctor Bechara al Asmar ,Kamal

asked Saint Charbel to choose for him and during the operation while the doctor was finishing the last stitches of St Jude mechanical valve ,it jumped off the heart and shattered to pieces on the floor ...St Charbel has Chosen and Kamal promised to build him a church to thank him which will never seem to be enough to such a generous Saint..
