Matthew 5:1-12
1 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him,
2 and he began to teach them. He said:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit. for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
1 예수님께서 사람들을 보시고 산으로 올라가 앉으셨습니다. 그러자 제자들이 예수님께 다가왔습니다.
2 예수님께서 입을 열어 사람들을 가르치셨습니다.
3 “마음이 가난한 사람은 복이 있다. 하늘 나라가 그들의 것이다.
4 슬퍼하는 사람은 복이 있다. 그들이 위로를 받을 것이다.
5 마음이 온유한 사람은 복이 있다. 그들이 땅을 상속받을 것이다.
6 의를 위해 주리고 목마른 사람은 복이 있다. 그들이 배부를 것이다.
7 자비로운 사람은 복이 있다. 그들이 하나님의 자비를 입을 것이다.
8 마음을 깨끗이 한 사람은 복이 있다. 그들이 하나님을 볼 것이다.
9 평화를 위해 일하는 사람은 복이 있다. 그들이 하나님의 아들이라고 불릴 것이다.
10 의롭게 살려고 하다가, 박해를 받는 사람은 복이 있다. 하늘 나라가 그들의 것이다.
11 사람들이 나 때문에 너희를 모욕하고 박해하고 온갖 나쁜 말을 할 때, 너희에게 복이 있다.
12 기뻐하고 즐거워하여라. 하늘에서 너희의 상이 크다. 너희보다 먼저 살았던 예언자들도 이처럼 박해를 받았다.” 너희들은 소금과 빛이다

"A Room for Elisha"

8 One day Elisha went to Shunem. An important woman lived there. She begged Elisha to stay and eat. So every time Elisha passed by, he stopped there to eat.
9 The woman said to her husband, “I know that Elisha is a holy man of God. He passes by our house all the time.
10 Let’s make a small room on the roof. Let’s put a bed in the room for Elisha. And we can put a table, a chair and a lampstand there. Then when he comes by, he can stay there.”
11 One day Elisha came to the woman’s house. He went to his room and rested.
12 He said to his servant Gehazi, “Call the Shunammite.” When the servant called her, she stood in front of him.
13 Elisha told his servant, “Now say to her, ‘You have gone to all this trouble for us. What can I do for you? Do you want me to speak to the king or the commander of the army for you?’” The woman answered, “I live among my own people.”
14 Elisha said, “But what can we do for her?” Gehazi answered, “She has no son, and her husband is old.”
15 Then Elisha said, “Call her.” So he called her, and she stood in the doorway. 16 Then Elisha said, “About this time next year, you will hold a son in your arms.” The woman said, “No, master, man of God. Don’t lie to me!”
17 But the woman became pregnant. And she gave birth to a son at that time the next year as Elisha had told her.
8 어느 날, 엘리사가 수넴으로 갔습니다. 그 곳에는 한 귀부인이 살고 있었습니다. 그 여자는 엘리사에게 자기 집에서 머물며 음식을 먹으라고 간절히 부탁했습니다. 그래서 엘리사는 그 곳을 지날 때마다 그 집에 들러 음식을 먹고 갔습니다.
9 여자가 자기 남편에게 말했습니다. “내가 보기에 우리집 앞으로 자주 지나다니는 엘리사는 하나님께서 거룩하다고 여기는 사람입니다.
10 지붕 위에 작은 방 하나를 만들고 그 방에 엘리사를 위해 침대와 책상과 의자와 등잔대를 들여 놓읍시다. 그래서 엘리사가 우리 집에 들를 때마다 그 방에서 묵어갈 수 있게 합시다.”
11 어느 날, 엘리사가 그 여자의 집에 와서 그 방에 들어가 쉬었습니다.
12 엘리사가 자기 종 게하시에게 말했습니다. “수넴 여자를 불러 오너라.” 게하시가 수넴 여자를 불러 왔습니다. 그녀가 엘리사 앞에 섰습니다.
13 엘리사가 게하시에게 말했습니다. “여자에게 이렇게 말하여라. ‘보시오. 당신이 우리를 위해 이렇게 세밀하게 준비했군요. 내가 당신을 위해 무엇을 해 주면 좋겠소? 왕이나 군대 사령관에게 부탁할 것이 있으면 말해 보시오.’” 여자가 대답했습니다. “아닙니다. 나는 내 백성과 함께 살고 있으니, 별 어려움이 없습니다.”
14 엘리사가 말했습니다. “그렇다면 저 여자를 위해 무엇을 해 주면 좋을까?” 게하시가 대답했습니다. “저 여자는 아들이 없고 남편은 늙었습니다.”
15 엘리사가 말했습니다. “여자를 불러 오너라.” 게하시가 다시 여자를 부르자, 여자가 문간에 와서 섰습니다.
16 엘리사가 말했습니다. “내년 이맘때쯤에 당신은 아들을 품에 안고 있을 것이오.” 여자가 말했습니다. “아닙니다. 하나님의 사람이시여, 당신의 여종을 속이지 마십시오.”
17 그 여자는 엘리사가 말한 대로 임신하여 그 다음 해에 아들을 낳았습니다.

60 They blessed Rebekah and said,
“Our sister, may you be the mother of thousands of people. And may your descendants capture the cities of their enemies.”
61 Then Rebekah and her servant girls got on the camels and followed the servant and his men. So the servant took Rebekah and left.
62 At this time Isaac had left Beer Lahai Roi. He was living in southern Canaan.
63 One evening he went out to the field to think. As he looked up, he saw camels coming.
64 Rebekah looked and saw Isaac. Then she jumped down from the camel.
65 She asked the servant, “Who is that man walking in the field to meet us?” The servant answered, “That is my master.” So Rebekah covered her face with her veil.
66 The servant told Isaac everything that had happened.
67 Then Isaac brought Rebekah into the tent of Sarah, his mother. And she became his wife. Isaac loved her very much. So he was comforted after his mother’s death.

63 어느 날 저녁, 이삭은 산책하러 들로 나갔습니다. 이삭이 눈을 들어 보니 낙타들이 오고 있었습니다.
64 리브가는 고개를 들어 이삭을 보더니 낙타에서 내렸습니다.
65 리브가가 종에게 물었습니다. “저 들판에서 우리를 보려고 이쪽으로 오는 사람은 누구인가요?” 종이 대답했습니다. “나의 주인입니다.” 그 말을 듣고 리브가는 베일로 자기 얼굴을 가렸습니다.
66 종이 이삭에게 지금까지 일어난 일을 다 이야기해 주었습니다.
67 종의 말을 들은 이삭은 리브가를 자기 어머니 사라의 장막으로 데리고 갔습니다. 리브가는 이삭의 아내가 되었습니다. 이삭은 리브가를 매우 사랑했습니다. 어머니를 여읜 이삭은 리브가를 통해 위로를 얻었습니다.

18 되는 대로 하는 말은 비수처럼 찌르지만, 지혜로운 자의 혀는 상한 마음을 고쳐 준다.
19 진실한 입술은 영원히 남지만, 거짓된 혀는 곧 사라지고 만다.

22 The time came for the Feast of Dedication at Jerusalem. This was during the winter.
23 Jesus was walking in the Temple in Solomon’s Porch.
24 The Jews gathered around him and said, “How long will you make us wonder about you? If you are the Christ, then tell us plainly.”
25 Jesus answered, “I told you already, but you did not believe. I do miracles in my Father’s name. Those miracles show who I am.
26 But you don’t believe because you are not my sheep.
27 My sheep listen to my voice. I know them, and they follow me.
28 I give them eternal life, and they will never die. And no person can steal them out of my hand
29 My Father gave my sheep to me. He is greater than all, and no person can steal my sheep out of my Father’s hand.
30 The Father and I are one.”
22 예루살렘에 수전절이 다가왔습니다. 수전절은 겨울에 지키는 유대 명절입니다.
23 예수님께서는 솔로몬 행각이 있는 성전 뜰의 주변을 거닐고 계셨습니다.
24 유대인들이 예수님 주위에 모여들어 이렇게 물었습니다. “언제까지 우리를 애태우게 할 작정입니까? 만일 당신이 그리스도라면 우리에게 터놓고 그렇다고 말해 주십시오.”
25 예수님께서 그 사람들에게 대답하셨습니다. “내가 전에 말하였으나, 너희는 믿지 않았다. 내가 내 아버지의 이름으로 행하는 일들이 나를 증언한다.
26 그러나 너희는 나의 양이 아니므로 믿지 않는다.
27 내 양은 나의 음성을 듣고, 나도 내 양을 안다. 내 양은 나를 따른다.
28 나는 그들에게 영생을 준다. 그들은 영원히 멸망하지 않을 것이며, 아무도 그들을 내 손에서 빼앗을 수 없을 것이다.

Acts 27:14-28:5
14 Before very long, a wind of hurricane force, called the Northeaster, swept down from the island.
15 The ship was caught by the storm and could not head into the wind; so we gave way to it and were driven along.
16 As we passed to the lee of a small island called Cauda, we were hardly able to make the lifeboat secure,
17 so the men hoisted it aboard. Then they passed ropes under the ship itself to hold it together. Because they were afraid they would run aground on the sandbars of Syrtis, they lowered the sea anchor and let the ship be driven along.
18 We took such a violent battering from the storm that the next day they began to throw the cargo overboard.
19 On the third day, they threw the ship’s tackle overboard with their own hands.
20 When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved.
21 After they had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: “Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss.
22 But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed.
23 Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me
24 and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’
25 So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me.
26 Nevertheless, we must run aground on some island.”
43 But the centurion wanted to spare Paul’s life and kept them from carrying out their plan. He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and get to land.
44 The rest were to get there on planks or on other pieces of the ship. In this way everyone reached land safely.
28 1 Once safely on shore, we found out that the island was called Malta.
2 The islanders showed us unusual kindness. They built a fire and welcomed us all because it was raining and cold.
3 Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and, as he put it on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand.
4 When the islanders saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to each other, “This man must be a murderer; for though he escaped from the sea, the goddess Justice has not allowed him to live.”
27:14 그런데 갑자기 ‘유라굴로’ 라고 부르는 폭풍이 섬 쪽에서 불어 왔습니다.
27:15 배는 폭풍에 휘말려 바람을 거슬러 조금도 앞으로 나아가지를 못했습니다. 그래서 우리는 앞으로 가려는 노력은 포기하고 바람이 부는 대로 배를 내맡기고 표류하기 시작했습니다.
27:16 그러다가 가우다라는 작은 섬의 남쪽 방향으로 떠밀려갈 때에 우리는 간신히 거룻배를 끌어올릴 수 있었습니다.
27:17 선원들은 거룻배를 끌어올린 다음에 밧줄로 동여맸습니다. 그들은 배가 스르디스의 모래톱에 걸릴까 염려하여 돛을 내리고 배를 바람 부는 대로 떠밀려가게 했습니다.
27:18 우리가 폭풍에 너무도 시달리자 이튿날에는 선원들이 짐을 바다에 내던졌습니다.
27:19 삼 일째 되는 날에는 배의 장비마저 내어 던졌습니다.
27:20 우리는 며칠째 해도 보지 못했고 별도 보지 못했습니다. 바람은 계속해서 거세게 불어 왔습니다. 결국 우리는 살아 남을 수 있다는 희망을 모두 포기하고 말았습니다.
27:21 사람들이 오랫동안 아무것도 먹지 못하고 있는 가운데 바울이 일어나 그들에게 말했습니다. “여러분, 내가 크레타 섬을 떠나지 말자고 한 말을 들었어야 했습니다. 그랬다면 이런 손해를 입지 않았을 것이고 물건을 잃어버리지도 않았을 것입니다.
27:22 하지만 여러분, 이제 제가 권합니다. 용기를 내십시오. 이 배만 잃을 뿐 여러분 중에는 한 사람도 목숨을 잃지 않을 것입니다.
27:23 지난 밤에 나의 주님이요, 내가 섬기는 하나님의 천사가 내 곁에 나타나 이렇게 말해 주었습니다.
27:24 ‘바울아, 두려워하지 마라. 너는 반드시 황제 가이사 앞에 서야 한다. 하나님께서 너와 함께 항해하는 모든 사람들의 목숨을 너에게 맡겨 주셨다.’
27:25 그러니 여러분, 용기를 내십시오. 나는 하나님을 믿습니다. 모든 일이 하나님의 천사가 내게 말씀하신 대로 이루어질 것입니다.
27:26 우리는 반드시 어떤 섬에 밀려가 닿게 될 것입니다.”
27:43 그러나 백부장 율리오는 바울을 살리고 싶어했습니다. 그는 군인들이 죄수를 죽이지 못하도록 헤엄칠 수 있는 사람은 모두 바다로 뛰어들어 육지로 올라가라고 명령했습니다.
27:44 남은 사람들은 널빤지나 부서진 배 조각을 붙잡고 나가게 명령했습니다. 그들은 모두 무사히 육지로 올라왔습니다.
28:1 우리는 육지에 무사히 오른 뒤에야 그 섬이 몰타 섬이라는 것을 알았습니다.
28:2 비가 오고 매우 추웠습니다. 섬 사람들은 우리에게 분에 넘치는 친절을 베풀며 불을 피워 놓고 우리를 맞아 주었습니다.
28:3 바울이 장작을 한 무더기 모아다가 불에 넣었는데, 뜨거운 불 때문에 독사가 튀어나와 바울의 손을 물었습니다.
28:4 섬 사람들은 독사가 바울의 손에 매달려 있는 것을 보고 “이 사람은 틀림없이 살인자다. 바다에서는 살아 나왔는지 모르지만 ‘정의의 신’이 그를 살려 두지 않을 것이다”라며 서로 수군거렸습니다.
28:5 그러나 바울은 그 뱀을 불 속에 떨어 버렸고, 아무런 해도 입지 않았습니다.

Matthew 28:1-10
1 The day after the Sabbath day was the first day of the week. At dawn on the first day, Mary Magdalene and another woman named Mary went to look at the tomb.
2 At that time there was a strong earthquake. An angel of the Lord came down from heaven. The angel went to the tomb and rolled the stone away from the entrance. Then he sat on the stone.
3 He was shining as bright as lightning. His clothes were white as snow.
4 The soldiers guarding the tomb were very frightened of the angel. They shook with fear and then became like dead men.
5 The angel said to the women, “Don’t be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus, the one who was killed on the cross.
6 But he is not here. He has risen from death as he said he would. Come and see the place where his body was.
7 And go quickly and tell his followers. Say to them: ‘Jesus has risen from death. He is going into Galilee. He will be there before you. You will see him there.’” Then the angel said, “Now I have told you.”
8 The women left the tomb quickly. They were afraid, but they were also very happy. They ran to tell Jesus’ followers what had happened.
9 Suddenly, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings.” The women came up to Jesus, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.
10 Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go on to Galilee. They will see me there.”
1 안식일 다음 날, 즉 한 주의 첫 날 동틀 무렵에, 막달라 마리아와 다른 마리아가 무덤을 보러 갔습니다.
2 그 때, 강한 지진이 일어나고, 하나님의 천사가 하늘에서 내려왔습니다. 그 천사는 돌을 굴려 치우고, 그 위에 앉았습니다.
3 그 모습은 번개와 같았고, 옷은 눈처럼 희었습니다.
4 경비병들이 그 천사를 보고 두려워 떨었고, 마치 죽은 사람처럼 되었습니다.
5 천사가 그 여자들에게 말했습니다. “두려워하지 마라. 너희가 십자가에 못박히신 예수님을 찾고 있다는 것을 알고 있다.
6 예수님은 여기 계시지 않다. 말씀하신 대로 다시 살아나셨다. 와서 예수님이 누우셨던 곳을 보아라.
7 그리고 빨리 가서 제자들에게 이렇게 말하여라. ‘예수님께서 죽음에서 다시 살아나셨습니다. 그리고 먼저 갈릴리로 가셨습니다. 거기서 예수님을 뵐 수 있을 것입니다.’ 보아라, 이것이 내가 너희에게 전할 말이다.”
8 여자들은 재빨리 무덤을 떠났습니다. 그들은 두려우면서도 매우 기뻤습니다. 그들은 제자들에게 이 소식을 전해 주려고 달려갔습니다.
9 그 때, 갑자기 예수님께서 여자들에게 나타나셔서 말씀하셨습니다. “잘 있었느냐?” 여자들은 예수님께 다가가서 그분의 발을 붙잡고 절했습니다.
10 그러자 예수님께서 말씀하셨습니다. “두려워하지 마라. 가서 내 형제들에게 갈릴리로 가라고 말하여라. 거기서 그들이 나를 볼 것이다”

35 The people stood there watching. The leaders made fun of Jesus. They said, “If he is God’s Chosen One, the Christ, then let him save himself. He saved other people, didn’t he?”
36 Even the soldiers made fun of him. They came to Jesus and offered him some vinegar.
37 They said, “If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself!”
38 (At the top of the cross these words were written: “THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”)
35 사람들은 곁에 서서 바라보았습니다. 유대 지도자들이 예수님을 비웃으며 말하였습니다. “이 사람이 다른 사람들을 구원했다. 만일 이 자가 하나님의 택하신 자인 그리스도라면 자신을 구원하리라.”
36 군인들도 예수님께 나아와 조롱하였습니다. 예수님께 신 포도주를 주고
37 “만일 네가 유대인의 왕이라면 너 자신을 구원하여라” 하고 말했습니다.
38 예수님 위에 ‘유대인의 왕’이라고 죄목이 쓰여 있었습니다.

Acts 13:4-12
4 Barnabas and Saul were sent out by the Holy Spirit. They went to the city of Seleucia. From there they sailed to the island of Cyprus.
5 When they came to Salamis, they preached the Good News of God in the Jewish synagogues. John Mark was with them to help.
6 They went across the whole island to Paphos. In Paphos they met a Jew who was a magician. His name was Bar-Jesus. He was a false prophet
7 who always stayed close to Sergius Paulus, the governor. Sergius Paulus was a smart man. He asked Barnabas and Saul to come to him, because he wanted to hear the message of God.
8 But Elymas, the magician (that is what his name means), was against them. He tried to stop the governor from believing in Jesus.
9 But Saul was filled with the Holy Spirit. (Saul’s other name was Paul.) He looked straight at Elymas
10 and said, “You son of the devil! You are an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of evil tricks and lies. You are always trying to change the Lord’s truths into lies!
11 Now the Lord will touch you, and you will be blind. For a time you will not be able to see anything—not even the light from the sun.” Then everything became dark for Elymas. He walked around, trying to find someone to lead him by the hand.
12 When the governor saw this, he believed. He was amazed at the teaching about the Lord.
4 바나바와 사울은 성령의 보내심을 받아 실루기아로 내려갔습니다. 그 곳에서 그들은 배를 타고 키프로스로 건너갔습니다.
5 그들은 살라미에 이르러 유대 사람의 회당에서 하나님의 말씀을 전했습니다. 마가 요한도 그들을 돕기 위해 함께 갔습니다.
6 그들이 그 섬을 다 돌고 바보에 도착했습니다. 거기서 바예수라고 하는 유대인 마술사를 만났는데, 그는 거짓 예언자였습니다.
7 바예수는 총독 서기오 바울 곁에 늘 붙어 있었습니다. 서기오 바울은 영리한 사람이었습니다. 그는 바나바와 사울을 불러 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 싶어했습니다.
8 그런데 엘루마라고도 하는 그 마술사가 바나바와 사울의 일을 방해하며, 총독이 예수님을 믿지 못하게 애를 썼습니다.
9 그러나 바울이라고도 부르는 사울이 성령이 충만하여 마술사를 노려보며
10 이렇게 말했습니다. “너 악마의 자식아! 너는 모든 정의의 원수다. 너는 악한 속임수와 죄악으로 가득 차 있다. 주님의 바른 길을 굽게하는 것을 그치지 못하겠느냐?
11 이제 주님께서 손으로 너를 치실 텐데 그러면 네 눈이 멀어 얼마 동안, 너는 햇빛조차 보지 못할 것이다.” 그러자 곧 안개와 어둠이 그에게 내려 그는 앞을 더듬으면서 자기 손을 붙잡아 줄 사람을 찾았습니다.
12 총독이 이 모습을 보고 주를 믿게 되었습니다. 그는 주님에 관한 가르침에 깊은 감명을 받았습니다.

Acts 6:8-11, 7:52-59
8 Stephen was richly blessed by God. God gave him the power to do great miracles and signs among the people.
9 But some Jews were against him. They belonged to a synagogue of Free Men. (as it was called). (This synagogue was also for Jews from Cyrene and from Alexandria.) Jews from Cilicia and Asia were also with them. They all came and argued with Stephen.
10 But the Spirit was helping him to speak with wisdom. His words were so strong that they could not argue with him.
52 Your fathers tried to hurt every prophet who ever lived. Those prophets said long ago that the Righteous One would come. But your fathers killed them. And now you have turned against the Righteous One and killed him.
53 You received the law of Moses, which God gave you through his angels. But you don’t obey it!”
54 When the leaders heard Stephen saying all these things, they became very angry. They were so mad that they were grinding their teeth at Stephen.
55 But Stephen was full of the Holy Spirit. He looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God. He saw Jesus standing at God’s right side.
56 He said, “Look! I see heaven open. And I see the Son of Man standing at God’s right side!”
57 Then they all shouted loudly. They covered their ears with their hands and all ran at Stephen.
58 They took him out of the city and threw stones at him until he was dead. The men who told lies against Stephen left their coats with a young man named Saul.
59 While they were throwing stones, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!”
8 스데반은 하나님의 은혜와 능력이 가득한 사람이었습니다. 그는 백성들 사이에서 기적과 표적을 행하였습니다.
9 그러나 구레네와 알렉산드리아와 길리기아와 아시아 출신의 유대인들로 구성된, 이른바 ‘자유인 의 회당’ 출신 사람들 중에 스데반을 반대하는 사람들이 있었습니다. 이들은 합세하여 스데반과 논쟁을 하였습니다.
10 하지만 스데반이 말하는 지혜나 성령을 당해 낼 사람은 아무도 없었습니다.
52 여러분의 조상들이 핍박하지 않은 예언자가 한 사람이나 있었습니까? 그들은 심지어 의인이 올 것을 예언한 사람들을 죽이기까지 했습니다. 이제 여러분은 바로 그 의인조차도 알아보지 못하고 배반하여 죽였습니다.
53 여러분은 천사들이 전해 준 모세의 율법을 받고도 그것을 지키지 않았습니다.”
54 공의회 의원들은 스데반이 하는 말을 듣고 몹시 화가 나서 스데반을 보며 이를 갈았습니다.
55 그러나 스데반은 성령이 충만하여 하늘을 쳐다보았습니다. 그는 하나님의 영광과 예수님께서 하나님의 오른편에 서 계신 것을 보았습니다.
56 스데반이 외쳤습니다. “보십시오. 하늘이 열리고 하나님의 오른편에 ‘인자’가 서 계신 것이 보입니다.”
57 그러나 사람들은 귀를 막고 큰소리를 지르며, 모두가 스데반에게 달려들었습니다.
58 그들은 스데반을 성 밖으로 끌고 나가서 그를 향하여 돌을 던졌습니다. 증인들은 자기들의 옷을 벗어 사울이라는 젊은이의 발 앞에 놓았습니다.
59 사람들이 스데반을 돌로 칠 때, 스데반은 “주 예수님, 내 영혼을 받아 주십시오”라고 기도했습니다.

"Don't worry. Seek God's first."

Matthew 6:25-34
25 “So I tell you, don’t worry about the food you need to live. And don’t worry about the clothes you need for your body. Life is more important than food. And the body is more important than clothes.
26 Look at the birds in the air. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns. But your heavenly Father feeds the birds. And you know that you are worth much more than the birds.
27 You cannot add any time to your life by worrying about it.
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? Look at the flowers in the field. See how they grow. They don’t work or make clothes for themselves.
29 But I tell you that even Solomon with his riches was not dressed as beautifully as one of these flowers.
30 God clothes the grass in the field like that. The grass is living today, but tomorrow it is thrown into the fire to be burned. So you can be even more sure that God will clothe you. Don’t have so little faith!
31 Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’
32 All the people who don’t know God keep trying to get these things. And your Father in heaven knows that you need them.
33 The thing you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing what God wants. Then all these other things you need will be given to you.
34 So don’t worry about tomorrow. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Tomorrow will have its own worries.
25 “그러므로 내가 너희에게 말한다. 너희 목숨을 위하여 무엇을 먹을까, 또는 무엇을 마실까 걱정하지 마라. 몸을 위하여 무엇을 입을까 걱정하지 마라. 목숨이 음식보다 훨씬 소중하지 않느냐? 몸이 옷보다 훨씬 소중하지 않느냐?
26 하늘에 있는 새를 보아라. 새는 심지도 않고, 거두지도 않고, 창고에 쌓아 두지도 않는다. 그러나 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께서 새들을 먹이신다. 너희는 새보다 훨씬 더 귀하지 않느냐?
27 너희 중에 누가 걱정해서 자기의 수명을 조금이라도 연장할 수 있느냐?
28 너희는 왜 옷에 대해 걱정하느냐? 들에 피는 백합꽃이 어떻게 자라는가 생각해 보아라. 백합은 수고도 하지 않고, 옷감을 짜지도 않는다.
29 그러나 내가 너희에게 말한다. 온갖 영화를 누린 솔로몬도 이 꽃 하나에 견줄 만큼 아름다운 옷을 입어 보지 못하였다.
30 하나님께서 오늘 있다가 내일이면 불 속에 던져질 들풀도 이렇게 입히시는데, 너희를 더 소중하게 입히시지 않겠느냐? 믿음이 적은 사람들아
31 그러므로 ‘무엇을 먹을까?’, ‘무엇을 마실까?’, 혹은 ‘무엇을 입을까?’ 하면서 걱정하지 마라.
32 이런 걱정은 이방 사람들이나 하는 것이다. 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께서는 너희에게 이 모든 것이 필요한 줄을 아신다.
33 먼저 아버지의 나라와 아버지의 의를 구하여라. 그러면 이 모든 것들이 너희에게 덤으로 주어질 것이다.
34 그러므로 내일 일을 걱정하지 마라. 내일 일은 내일 걱정할 것이고, 오늘의 고통은 오늘로 충분하다.”

Luke 7:2-9
2 In Capernaum there was an army officer. He had a servant who was so sick he was nearly dead. The officer loved the servant very much.
3 When the officer heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to him. The officer wanted the leaders to ask Jesus to come and heal his servant.
4 The men went to Jesus and begged him saying, “This officer is worthy of your help. 5 He loves our people, and he built us a synagogue.”
6 So Jesus went with the men. He was getting near the officer’s house when the officer sent friends to say, “Lord, you don’t need to come into my house. I am not good enough for you to be under my roof.
7 That is why I did not come to you myself. You only need to say the word, and my servant will be healed.
8 I, too, am a man under the authority of other men. And I have soldiers under my command. I tell one soldier, ‘Go,’ and he goes. And I tell another soldier, ‘Come,’ and he comes. And I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and my servant obeys me.”
9 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. He turned to the crowd following him and said, “I tell you, this is the greatest faith I have seen anywhere, even in Israel.”
2 어떤 백부장이 소중하게 여기는 종이 있었는데 병들어 죽게 되었습니다.
3 백부장은 예수님에 관한 소문을 듣고 몇몇 유대의 장로들을 예수님께 보내어, 자기의 종을 고쳐 달라고 부탁하였습니다.
4 그들은 예수님께 와서 간청하였습니다. “이 사람은 선생님께서 부탁을 들어 줘도 될 만한 사람입니다.
5 이 사람은 우리 민족을 사랑합니다. 그는 우리에게 회당을 지어 주었습니다.”
6 예수님께서 그들과 함께 가셨습니다. 예수님께서 백부장의 집 가까이에 이르렀을 때, 백부장이 친구들을 보내 예수님께 말하였습니다. “주님, 수고하실 필요가 없습니다. 저는 선생님을 집에 모실 만한 자격이 없습니다.
7 그래서 제가 주님께 나올 자격도 없다고 생각했습니다. 말씀만 하십시오. 그러면 제 종이 나을 것입니다.
8 저도 다른 사람 아래에 있고, 제 밑에도 부하들이 있습니다. 제가 이 사람더러 가라 하면 가고, 저 사람더러 오라 하면 옵니다. 또 제 종에게 이것을 하라 하면 그대로 합니다.”
9 예수님께서 이 말을 들으시고 놀라시며 따라오던 사람들에게 말씀하셨습니다. “내가 너희에게 말한다. 이스라엘에서도 이처럼 큰 믿음을 본 적이 없다.”
