Growing Trees Internship

Growing Trees Internship We are a school of ministry under New Life Fellowship of Churches, Cambodia.

Our Objective: To design and successfully implement an internship program for New Life Fellowship. Our Vision: To serve and support the vision of New Life Fellowship:
To plant a large New Testament Church in Phnom Penh which will have a positive influence on every sector of Cambodian society: Religion, Education, Politics, Social Relationships, Business, Sports and Communications - and to be the m

odel and resource center for planing churches in every province of Cambodia with the same philosophy and foundation, and to send Cambodians as missionaries to other countries. Under the vision of NLF, Growing Trees Internship's goal is - To encourage young Cambodians to take one year to grow in their relationship with God, and to serve in the local church. Our Structure: The Growing Trees Internship will run from Monday to Friday (8am-5pm) with the same therm and holiday structure as OSTC, for one year, with new intakes starting in October of every year. The learning environment for Growing Trees Internship will be focused upon:

- SHAKE: impacting their life that will “shake” them. There will be powerful encounters with God and encounters
with themselves. There will be difficulties that they will have
to really fight through, powerful spiritual experiences, not just
the gaining of knowledge.

- SHAPE: renewing of the mind and character and skill development.

- SERVE: building a servant heart as their core value.

- SEND: equipping our interns to go into the world – going into difficult situations where there is persecution, temptation, pressure, etc – but still be able to stand strong.

Proverbs 27:17 (NIV) – “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

The truth is that there is a great benefit to good and wholesome relationships with friends and family in our lives. These relationships provide a loving accountability and constructive criticism that helps us to grow and blossom into who God intended us to be. I saw it best said like this, “Just as sharpening an iron blade makes it more effective, close friends sharpen our character.”
