"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..." โ Matthew 28:19
In this Sundayโs Gospel, we experience the final moments Jesus shares with His disciples before His ascension. Itโs a powerful transition from followers to leaders. But if you read closely, thereโs a small, incredibly human detail in verse 17 that always stands out: "When they saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted."
Isnโt that so true to our own lives?
Right alongside great faith, we often carry small pockets of doubt, fear, or feelings of inadequacy. We think, "Who am I to share the Gospel? I donโt have it all figured out yet."
But here is the beautiful truth: Jesus didn't wait for them to be perfect before sending them out. He chose ordinary, flawed, and hesitant people to carry His message to the ends of the earth. He does the exact same with us today.
He doesn't ask for a perfect theology degree; He just asks for a willing heart.
And the best part? We don't go alone. His final promise in this Gospel is everything we need to push past our fears: "And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age."
Whatever "mission territory" you are walking into this weekโwhether itโs your workplace, your school, your family, or just navigating your own personal strugglesโremember that His power goes with you.
How can we live out this commission today?
By letting our love, kindness, and patience be the first way people experience the heart of Jesus.โจ๐
