Having received much education and love from the school as well as foreign missionaries over the years, it was time for them to PAY IT FORWARD.

On 1 September, a group of graduating Grade 12 students from Don Bosco High School did an outreach to a Lu Phram, where a number of poor families live. There, they led the children in dance, put up a skit about the importance of education and hygiene, held a raffle draw of clothes they brought and distributed fried noodles which they cooked.

Children and adults for this first ever programme held at their doorsteps. Families also had the chance to see their children “in action”! Not only did everyone leave with a gift and some food, we hoped they also too home the importance of education for their children. Most of all, we are proud of our students for leading this outreach to their less privileged fellow Cambodian people.

ដោយទទួលបានការអប់រំយ៉ាងច្រើន ជាមួយនឹងក្តីស្រឡាញ់ពីសាលា ក៏ដូចជាពីបងស្រីដែលបានលះបង់មកជួយនៅប្រទេសកម្ពុជាយើងជាច្រើនឆ្នាំមកនេះ ឥឡូវវាជាពេលដែលពួកគេត្រូវតបស្នងវិញ ដោយការចែករំលែកបន្តនូវអ្វីដែលគេបានទទួលទៅអ្នកផ្សេងទៀត។

កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១ ខែកញ្ញា ក្រុមសិស្សថ្នាក់ទី១២ដែលបានបញ្ចប់ការសិក្សាពីវិទ្យាល័យនៃលាសា ដុន បូស្កូ បានរៀបចំសកម្មភាពជួយជនក្រីក្រមួយនៅភូមិ លូ ប្រាំ ដែលជាកន្លែងដែលកូនសិស្សអូរ៉ាតរី(Oratorians) ខ្លះៗរបស់យើង ព្រមទាំងគ្រួសារក្រីក្រមួយចំនួនរស់នៅ។ ពួកគេបានរៀបចំកម្មវិធីមួយដែលរួមមានការរាំជាក្រុម ការសម្តែងរឿងខ្លីអប់រំស្តីអំពីសារៈសំខាន់នៃការសិក្សា និងការមានអនាម័យល្អក្នុងការរស់នៅ ការសួរសំណួរ និងផ្តល់ជារង្វាន់លើកទឹកចិត្តក្រោយពីសម្តែង ការចាប់ឆ្នោតផ្តល់ជាសម្លៀកបំពាក់ដែលពួកគេម្នាក់ៗបានបរិច្ចាក ព្រមទាំងការចែកនូវមីឆាដែលបានរៀបចំ និងចំអិនដោយស្នាដៃរបស់ពួកគេផ្ទាល់។

ទាំងកុមារ និងមនុស្សធំបានប្រមូលផ្តុំគ្នា សម្រាប់មើលកម្មវិធី ជាលើកទី១ដែលបានធ្វើឡើងនៅពីមុខច្រកទ្វារផ្ទះរបស់ខ្លួន។ វាជាឱកាសដ៏ល្អមួយសម្រាប់ក្រុមគ្រួសារដែលបានឃើញកូនៗរបស់ពួកគេ “ធ្វើសកម្មភាព”! ចុងក្រោយម្នាក់ៗមិនត្រឹមតែត្រឡប់ទៅផ្ទះរបស់ខ្លួនជាមួយនឹងអំណោយខ្លះៗ និងអាហារសម្រាប់បរិភោគប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ តែយើងក៏សង្ឈឹមផងដែលថា ពួកគេក៏បានយក និងយល់នូវខ្លឹមសារដ៏មានតម្លៃនៃការអប់រំសម្រាប់កូនៗរបស់ខ្លួនផងដែរ។

លើសពីនេះទៅទៀត យើងពិតជាមានមោទនភាពចំពោះកូនសិស្សរបស់យើងដែលបានរៀបចំគម្រោង និងចេញជាកម្មភាពជួយដល់ជនជាតិខ្មែរដូចគ្នាដែលពុំមានឱកាសបានទទួលដូចពួកគេ។

As the school holidays began, the Blessed Eusebia Community’s oratory had its final session for the year 2021-2022 on 3 September 2022. It was a morning of showcasing talents, expressing gratitude, fun and games and a lunch treat thanks to our generous benefactors. We are grateful and blessed to have been able to build a little community of almost 50 children in this short 6 months since our oratory started. As we rest and recharge, we look forward to more in the next school year!

នៅពេលថ្ងៃវិស្សមកាលរបស់សាលាបានចាប់ផ្តើម សកម្មភាពបង្រៀនក្មេងៗរាល់ថ្ងៃសៅរ៍ ដែលយើងហៅថា អូរ៉ាត់រី (Oratory) របស់សហគមន៍សន្តី យ៉ូហ្សេបៀ (Blessed Eusebia Community’s oratory) ក៏បានបិទវគ្គចុងក្រោយសម្រាប់ឆ្នាំ២០២១-២០២២ កាលពីថ្ងៃទី៣ ខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ២០២២កន្លងទៅនេះ។ នាព្រឹកនៃថ្ងៃបិទវគ្គ មានការបង្ហាញនៃទេពកោសល្យផ្សេងៗ ដើម្បីជាការដឹកគុណ សម្លេងស្រែកយ៉ាងសប្បាយរីករាយ ដោយមានលេងហ្គេមផ្សេងៗ ព្រមទាំងមានអាហារថ្ងៃត្រង់ ដែលយើងសូមអរគុណយ៉ាងជ្រាលជ្រៅចំពោះសប្បុរជនរបស់យើងទាំងអស់ផងដែរ។ យើងទាំងអស់គ្នាមានក្តីសោមន្ស និងមានសំណាងដែលអាចបង្កើតក្រុមតូចមួយនេះ ដែលមានក្មេងៗជិត៥០នាក់ចូលរួមក្នុងរយៈ៦ខែដ៏ខ្លីនេះ។ ដោយយើងឈប់សម្រាក់ និងសន្សំកម្លាំង យើងក៏ទន្ទឹងរង់ចាំសម្រាប់ត្រៀមមានសកម្មភាពជាច្រើនទៀតដែលនឹងមាននៅឆ្នាំសិក្សាថ្មីនេះ។

We join the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA), Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco around the world to celebrate 150 years of our foundation, paying tribute to our beloved mother and co-foundress, St. Mary Mazzarello. This song expresses our love for her and our desire to imitate her dauntless courage and boundless generosity. May we, her daughters, continue to live the Spirit of Mornese today with big and generous hearts, to make God's love present especially among the young and poor.

“In old age they will still bear fruit” (Ps 92:15) this is the theme of the 2nd World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly which was celebrated on July 24. Pope Francis wanted to celebrate this day in close proximity to the anniversary of Saints Joachim and Anna, the grandparents of Jesus.
As an expression of gratitude and appreciation for the presence of the elderly whose “experience and wisdom help the young generation to look to the future with hope and responsibility”, the community of Bl. Eusebia Palomino spent time to visit some grandparents of the oratorians of Lu Phram and greeted online the elderly Salesian Sisters of Cambodia-Myanmar Province and the community of Bl. Maria Romero in Canlubang, Philippines. Thank you for inspiring us with your life lived in joy, simplicity and fidelity.

Part of our work in educating the young includes reaching out to their families, especially if their basic needs are not met. God led us to these families during the height of the pandemic. Now, He is inspiring us to help them a little more. We may not have been able to provide them with a proper house. But together with them, our school community managed to improve their shelter. Most of all, we hoped to have given them our presence and our love.

ផ្នែកមួយនៃបេកកម្មរបស់យើងក្នុងការអប់រំយុវជន រួមមានការចេញទៅជួយដល់គ្រួសាររបស់ពួកគេ ជាពិសេសប្រសិនបើតម្រូវការមូលដ្ឋានរបស់គេមានភាពខ្វះខាត។ទោះបីជាយើងមិនអាចផ្តល់ឲ្យពួកគេនូវផ្ទះដ៏សមរម្យមួយបានក៍ដោយ ប៉ុន្តែពួកយើងអាចសង់ទីជំរកមួយដែលល្អជាងនេះបន្តិចសម្រាប់ពួកគេ ដោយធ្វើការរួមជាមួយពួកគេ។ យើងបានផ្តល់ឲ្យពួកគេមិនគ្រាន់តែទីជំរកដែលប្រសើរជាងមុនប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ ប៉ុន្តែលើសពីនេះទៅទៀត យើងបានផ្តល់ឲ្យពួកគេនូវវត្តមាន និងសេចក្តីស្រឡាញ់របស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់តាមរយៈវត្តមាន និងក្តីស្រឡាញ់របស់យើង។

War in Ukraine, civil unrest in Myanmar, crisis in Sri Lanka, Venezuela… the list of injustices goes on. Other than these “big” injustices, many "small" ones happen unnoticed everyday. Just 5 minutes from our house in Teuk Thla, Phnom Penh, there are families living in abject poverty. They sleep in tents/huts shabbily assembled with scrap materials. Some have odd-jobs, some collect and sell rubbish, some have no work. This is the life of some of our young oratorians who play and study with us on Saturday mornings. What can each of us do to help those in need?

We celebrated the Feast of St. Joseph with 19 families from a nearby slum. The activity included human formation sessions on self-care, hygiene and the importance of education. The day was capped off with a refreshing bath and delicious home-cooked Khmer curry noodles and ice-cream. Thanks to our generous benefactors, everyone received a new set of clothes, shoes and some of food supplies. We are grateful to all our collaborators – benefactors, teachers, staff and students – who made this possible!
