*Word Power Devotion #7* The Blessed Man, is like a tree... Whose... _Leaves shall not wither_ Psalm 1:3b
Today let me speak like a gardener... Gardeners always want their plants to look fresh and green, but wilting leaves are a giveaway that something is off in a plant's environment. A careful diagnosis is necessary to remedy the plants and keep leaves green.
A blessed man's life here in our key scripture is said to have his leaves never wither. Withered leaves are signs of unhealthy life,a cramping and falling off life. Causes can include water stress. As we've checked in earlier devotions, *we are planted besides still waters... So if planted there, then water stress may not find us... However, in our lives, we run into mucky waters and taste bitter feed here and there. Stresses of life push many believers to shortcuts that spoil the fresh still water, and this is why a careful examination of some of our lives, shows up with wilting leaves... This will lead to fruitlessness.
People today have withered relationships, wilted commitments, falling off compromises, and i can tell you its due to the mix of water. Who's speaking to your life, who's your friend, what words are you injecting oftenly? These could be destroying you.. Making you feel weak and stressed and giving up.
Come on friend... If you feel like your source of freshness is gone down, suffering *Anoxia* (a lack of porosity in the soil that limits oxygenation)... I mean, you may be suffocated under thoughts, disillusion, struggles of life.. Be like the tree planted in Christ... Make Christ your solid rock today... Choose salvation 2 Corinthians 5:17
Amén. Be blessed.
Tomorrow's devotion... We look at Psalm 1:3c - PROSPERING.
