Hebrews 4:16 reminds us that we can approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, receiving mercy and grace in our time of need. And Ephesians 3:20 assures us that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine through His power working in us.

So come boldly to God in prayer 🙏 and trust that He can do far beyond what you expect.

TITLE: DISCERNMENT - HOW TO OBEY THE VOICE OF GOD

🔊We are living in the noisiest generation in history! The question is: how do we navigate life with spiritual discernment?

Pst Chuchu built up on the previous sermon from John 9 (watch it here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbatS9N5WK8) by discussing an important question - what hindrances do we face in our quest to obey God?

📍Hindrance No. 1: Preserving the System (John 9:13-16)
🤔The Pharisees were more interested in preserving the system of the Sabbath than the miracle that had just taken place.
🛑The systems we put in place often hinder us from obeying God and seeing Him at work.

❓Ask Yourself: What system have you put in place that prevents God from moving in your life?

📍Hindrance No. 2: Fear of the Cost (John 9:18-25)
😱The man's parents knew the truth, but fear silenced their testimony.
😱Fear paralyzes obedience!

❓Ask Yourself: How is fear hindering you from hearing God's voice speaking over your life?

Pst Chuchu concluded the sermon by sharing two spiritual postures to help us overcome these hindrances.
🛐1. Humility overcomes Systems - e.g. Mary's response: "Let it be to me according to your word (Luke 1:38).
💪2. Courage overcomes Fear - Conviction must become louder than the cost.

📌Fear is turned into courage through conviction and the boldness given by the Holy Spirit.

TITLE: GOD'S STRATEGY PART 2

READING: 1 SAMUEL 17:38-40

Rev Gitau elaborated further on key aspects of God's strategy.

3⃣Direction Determines Equipment
📍God equips each of us uniquely and differently because of the assignment that he gives us.
📍When David was about to fight Goliath, Saul used the strategy of giving David his equipment (armour) but David couldn't walk in it because his assignment was different and hence God gifted him equipment that befitted the assignment that lay ahead.
📍Sometimes we are tempted to use tools that are different that aren't meant for us because of different reasons such as;
a) Internal pressure; feelings of inadequacy, self doubt, comparison, wanting to imitate others.
b) External pressure that pushes us to want to be like other people.
📍Everyone's strategy is different for their God given assignments.
📍Just like a band that plays musical instruments can't use different tools that are not made for their instruments to produce good sound, in the same way, David couldn't use other instruments/tools he wasn't skilled in to kill Goliath.
📍Don't borrow someone else's tool for your assignment, use your own skill. ie; personal skills, personal experiences, personal gifts.

❓How has God equipped you? What tools has he given you?

⚡Victory requires accuracy and God's power.

4⃣Deliverance Defines Destiny.
📍Past victories are important.
📍Past victories build present faith so keep a record of God's doings in your life.
📍You are more prepared than you think.

❓What direction is God taking you towards?

⚡Victory doesn't come from copying others - it comes from trusting God's process.
