*Monday Devotional: Yes, You Are Out of Egypt—But Is Egypt Out of You?*
Monday marks the start of a new week—a fresh opportunity to walk in the freedom God has provided. But as we step into this new beginning, we must ask ourselves a difficult question: *We may have left the land of our bo***ge, but have we left the mindset of the slave?*

*The Story: A Body in the Desert, A Heart in the Nile*
The Israelites stood on the far side of the Red Sea, the Egyptian army swept away and their chains finally broken. They sang, they danced, and they praised God for their deliverance. They were, by every physical measure, "Out of Egypt."

Yet, only a few weeks later, when the water got bitter and the food ran low, their language changed. They didn't look forward to the Promised Land; they looked back at the land of their suffering. In *Exodus 16:3*, they cried, "If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in Egypt! There we sat by pots of meat and ate our fill of bread."

Later, while Moses was on the mountain, their internal "Egypt" manifested fully. They took the gold they had carried out of Egypt and melted it into a *Golden Calf*—the very image of the Egyptian god Apis. They were physically in the wilderness of Sinai, but spiritually, they were still bowing in Memphis.

As the saying goes: *"It took God one night to take Israel out of Egypt, but it took Him forty years to take Egypt out of Israel."* They were free men acting like slaves, seeking comfort in the very things that once oppressed them.

*Reflection Verses*
*Acts 7:39:* "But our ancestors refused to obey him. Instead, they rejected him and in their hearts turned back to Egypt."

*Galatians 5:1:* "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."

*Numbers 11:5:* "We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost—also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!"

*Monday Call to Action*
Today, as you start your work week, identify your "Pots of Meat." What old habits, limiting mindsets, or toxic dependencies are you longing for because they feel "familiar" or "safe," even though they belong to your past?

*Identify the Egypt in your Heart:* Is it a spirit of "Mtu Wetu" (nepotism), a fear of lack, or a dependency on systems that God has already told you to leave?

*Reject the Backward Glance:* When things get tough this week, refuse to complain or look back. The manna of today is better than the meat-pots of yesterday’s bo***ge.

*Choose Sovereignty:* Act like the "Sovereign Architect" God called you to be. Slaves wait to be told what to do; sons and daughters of the King take territory. *MO* https://youtu.be/yJ3LTzHv7oA?si=hvXvyBfc01_JtyAC

*Closing Prayer*
Heavenly Father, I thank You for this Monday and the gift of a new week. I praise You because You have delivered me from the Egypt of my past—from sin, from lack, and from the control of the 'Watchers' of this world.

But Lord, I ask for Your surgical grace today. Scrape the Nile from my heart. Remove the longing for old comforts that keep me from my Promised Land. Grant me a 'Sovereign Mindset' that looks forward with courage rather than backward with regret. Let me not just be 'out of Egypt,' but let Egypt be completely out of me.

*In Jesus' name, Amen.*

Good Morning Saints, Praise King Jesus. *"If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." Luke 9:23* Here is the mystery the flesh resists: *The cross is free, but the crown costs everything.* We love a Savior who delivers us from wrath, but we tremble before a King who demands the throne. *Jesus did not bleed on Calvary simply to sign your pardon and let you wander back to your old masters. He died to transfer you from the dominion of darkness into the Kingdom of the Son He loves (Col 1:13) .* And in that Kingdom, there is only one Sovereign. Consider this revelation: *Your heart was never an empty throne. Before Christ, it was occupied by ruthless kings Greed, Lust, Fear, Pride and they ruled you with an iron yoke.* They promised freedom but delivered chains. *"For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. But what fruit were you getting at that time? The end of those things is death." (Rom 6:20-21)* But here is the offense of the Gospel: *Jesus doesn't come to be an accessory King. He doesn't share the throne with your ego or your comfort. "He must increase, but I must decrease." (John 3:30)* He is Lord, and He is a jealous King for your soul. *This is why so many settle for the starting line of forgiveness.* They want the fire insurance, but they don't want the refining fire of His Lordship. But beloved, hear this spiritual teaching: *Only the One who asks for everything can give you more than you surrender.* Every false king left you *hollow* and *bankrupt.* Only Jesus *gives beauty for ashes.* Only Jesus exchanges your filthy rags for His righteousness. *"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." (Gal 2:20)* The cost is your life. The reward is His life living through you. *The cross was free purchased with His blood, not your silver. But the crown of His Lordship? That will cost you your pride, your plans, and your false peace.* And it is worth it. Because *"at the name of Jesus every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord." (Phil 2:10-11)* Bow now, willingly, and *receive the abundance only He can give.* Have a blessed day and God bless you abundantly. Stay blessed.

*Knowing Whose You Are*

*The Introductory Story: The Unnamed Slave Girl and the Syrian General*
In *2 Kings 5:1–4*, we find a story often eclipsed by the miraculous healing of Naaman, but its foundation rests on a young girl whose name history didn't record, but whose identity was unshakeable.

During a raid on Israel, this young girl was captured and taken to Syria to serve as a slave in the house of Naaman, the commander of the Syrian army. In an instant, she lost her home, her family, her status, and her freedom. By all earthly accounts, she belonged to Naaman; she was his "property," a trophy of war.

However, her behavior revealed a different truth. Despite being in a foreign land serving a foreign master, she did not adopt the identity of a victim or a slave. She knew she belonged to the Living God.

When she saw her master suffering from leprosy, she didn't react with bitterness toward her captor. Instead, she spoke with the authority of a daughter of the Most High: *"If only my lord would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy."*

She was physically in the service of Syria, but her spirit remained in the service of Jehovah. She knew that no matter who held her "papers," they did not own her soul. Her identity was anchored not in her circumstances, but in the God she represented.

*Reflection Verses*
*Isaiah 43:1*
"But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: 'Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.'"

*Reflection:* Identity begins with ownership. God does not just know about you; He claims you. When the world tries to label you by your struggles or your past, this verse acts as a divine "reclamation" of your true name.

*1 Corinthians 6:19–20*
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price."

*Reflection:* In a world that screams "my body, my choice, my life," the believer finds peace in the opposite: "I am bought." Knowing you are a high-value acquisition of Heaven changes how you treat yourself and how you allow others to treat you.

*1 Peter 2:9*
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."

*Reflection:* You are defined as a "possession." This isn't about restriction, but about protection. A king’s special possession is guarded, polished, and showcased. Your value is derived entirely from the One who holds you.

*Call to Action: The Identity Audit*

*Stop Answering to the Wrong Name:* We often suffer because we allow our circumstances—our job titles, our bank balances, or our failures—to tell us who we are.

*The Meditation:* Today, identify a label the world has put on you (e.g., "rejected," "struggling," "unnoticed").

*The Action:* Consciously "hand back" that label. Like the young Israelite girl in Syria, act from the position of who you actually represent. Speak words of faith into your "Syria" today, reminding yourself that your current location does not dictate your ultimate identity.*MO* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzqoSeVMGrQ&list=RDKzqoSeVMGrQ&start_radio=1

*Closing Prayer*

Heavenly Father, We come before You today, humbled by the truth that we are Yours. Forgive us for the times we have lived as orphans, or as though we belonged to the anxieties of this world. We thank You for the price paid on the Cross that sealed our ownership.

Help us to walk with the quiet confidence of those who know their Father is the King. When the shadows of doubt or the labels of men try to define us, let Your Spirit whisper the truth: 'You are Mine.'

May we serve where we are placed, but always remember whose we are. In the name of the One who called us by name, Jesus Christ,Amen.

*The Silence of the Saturday: Living in the "In-Between"*

*The Introductory Story: The Day of Great Silence*

In *Luke 23:54–56*, the narrative of the Passion reaches a haunting stillness. The body of Jesus had been hastily placed in Joseph of Arimathea’s tomb as the Sabbath began. The Bible tells us that the women who had followed Him "rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment."

Imagine the atmosphere in that upper room. For the disciples, Saturday was not a "holiday"—it was a wake. It was a day of crushing, suffocating silence. Their Mentor was dead.

Their revolution of the heart seemed to have been crushed by the Roman boot. They were likely paralyzed by a mixture of *grief, fear, and deep embarrassment.*

They had left everything for a King who was now behind a sealed stone.

Saturday is the day where the promises of God seem to have failed. It is the gap between the agony of the Cross and the victory of the Resurrection. The disciples didn't know Sunday was coming; they only knew that Friday had taken everything.

*The "In-Between" of 2026*

We often live our lives in a "Saturday" state.
It is the space between the *diagnosis and the healing*.
It is the gap between the *pitch and the contract.*
It is the silence after you have done everything right—followed the "policy," served the "your community" acted with integrity—and yet, the tomb remains sealed.

Like the disciples, we often mistake God’s *silence for His absence*. We think because nothing is "happening" on the surface, the mission is over. But Saturday is the day of subterranean work.

While the world saw a co**se in a tomb, the Spirit was doing a work that no human eye could track.

*Reflection Verses*

*Psalm 13:1–2*
"How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart?"

*Reflection:* This is the honest prayer of Saturday. It is okay to sit with the "How long?" God is not intimidated by your frustration with His timing.

*Lamentations 3:25–26*
"The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord."

*Reflection*: "Waiting quietly" is the hardest discipline of the faith. Saturday teaches us that our hope is not in our activity, but in His character.

*Isaiah 30:15*
"In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength."

*Reflection*: Strength on Saturday doesn't come from "hustling" or frantic maneuvering. It comes from the "Stoic" resolve to trust the Word that was spoken on Friday, even when you can't see the results.

*Call to Action: Practice "Holy Waiting"*
*Resist the Urge to Fix It:* Identify the "tomb" in your life right now—the situation that feels dead or stagnant.

*The Discipline:* Today, do not try to "roll the stone away" yourself. Do not send that anxious text or make that desperate call to force a door open.

*The Action:* Intentionally "rest" from the anxiety of that situation. Use this day to remind yourself that God’s greatest work often happens when humans are completely still. Acknowledge that the "In-Between" is part of the process.*MO* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLJ0IjLAmOA&list=RDBLJ0IjLAmOA&start_radio=1

*Closing Prayer*

Lord of the Silence, We come to You on this Holy Saturday, acknowledging the weight of the wait. We confess that we are a people who demand immediate results and visible victories. Forgive us for doubting Your hand when we cannot see Your move.

We pray for those currently trapped in the "Saturday" of their lives—those waiting for news, those mourning losses, and those whose dreams feel entombed. Grant us the endurance of the disciples. Help us to rest in the certainty that You are still at work in the dark.

We anchor our souls in the promise that the stone will not have the final word. In the steady name of the One who waits with us, Amen.

30/03/2026

As we enter the sacred and reflective season of Holy Week, we warmly invite all Christians and friends of the Cathedral to join us in worship as we journey together through the powerful story of Christ’s love and redemption.

Holy Week Services Schedule
✝️ Maundy Thursday – A time to remember the Last Supper of our Lord Jesus Christ with His disciples and His example of humility and service through the washing of feet.
✝️ Good Friday – A solemn day as we reflect on the suffering and sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross for the salvation of the world.
✝️ Easter Sunday – A glorious celebration of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, the victory over sin and death, and the gift of new life for all believers.

Biblically, Holy Week reminds us of the fulfillment of God’s promise of salvation through Jesus Christ. From the institution of Holy Communion (Luke 22:19–20), to the sacrifice at Calvary (Isaiah 53:5; John 19:30), and finally the triumph of the empty tomb (Matthew 28:6), this sacred season renews our faith, strengthens our hope, and calls us to live as witnesses of the risen Christ.

Message of Hope from the Vice Dean, Ven. Naftali Siwa
“As we walk through Holy Week, may we open our hearts to the transforming love of Christ. Let the cross remind us of God’s deep love for humanity, and the resurrection fill us with renewed hope, courage, and faith for the days ahead. May this season inspire us to live in unity, service, and joyful expectation of God’s promises.”

You are all welcome to worship, reflect, and celebrate with us during this blessed season. Come and experience the grace, peace, and victory found in Christ Jesus. 🙏✨

*The Anchor in the Storm: Discovering the Real Meaning of Life*
In a world that measures worth by the speed of the climb or the size of the harvest, it is easy to feel like we are chasing the wind. We build, we toil, and we plan, yet often find ourselves asking, "Is this all there is?"

*The Story: A King’s Search "Under the Sun"*
King Solomon had everything the world defines as "success." He was the most powerful ruler of his time, overseeing the construction of the magnificent Temple and palaces that redefined his nation's skyline. He possessed the wealth of kingdoms, the wisdom of the ages, and every comfort imaginable.

Yet, in the book of *Ecclesiastes,* we find a man reflecting on his achievements with a surprising heaviness. He looks at the grand structures and the vast riches and calls them hebel—a Hebrew word for "v***r" or "breath." He realized that if life is only about what we can see "under the sun"—the status, the bank balance, the physical legacy—it is ultimately fleeting.

Solomon’s turning point came when he looked above the sun. He concluded that life isn't a puzzle to be solved by human effort, but a gift to be received from the Creator. The real meaning of life isn't found in the *work of our hands*, but in the *relationship with the One* who gave us the hands to work with.

*Reflection Verses*
*John 17:3 –* "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."
True life is not a destination or an achievement; it is a deep, ongoing connection with the Source of all things.

*Micah 6:8 –* "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
The blueprint for a meaningful life is simple: integrity in our dealings, compassion in our hearts, and humility in our walk.

*Colossians 1:16 –* "For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth... all things have been created through him and for him."
We are not self-made; we are purposefully designed. We were made by Him and for Him, and our rest is found only in that truth.

*Call to Action: Moving from Toil to Trust*
Today, take a moment for a *"Heart Audit."* Look at your current goals and pressures. Are they anchored in the shifting sands of temporary success, or are they built on the solid rock of eternal purpose?

*Step 1: Identify the "V***r.*" Acknowledge one area where you are striving for validation or glory that leaves you feeling empty.

*Step 2: Re-center.* In your next task—whether it’s a difficult conversation, a manual job, or a quiet moment—consciously offer it up as an act of service to God.

*Step 3: Walk Humbly.* Find one small way today to show mercy or justice to someone who can do nothing for you in return.*MO* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkPClcO4Whw&list=RDdkPClcO4Whw&start_radio=1

*Closing Prayer*
Heavenly Father, Author of my days,

I thank You that my life is not an accident or a "chasing after the wind." Thank You for the strength, the mind, and the opportunities You have placed in my path. Lord, I admit that I often get distracted by the visible markers of success and forget the invisible reality of Your love.

Help me to walk humbly with You today. Give me the wisdom to act justly in my affairs and the heart to love mercy in my relationships. May my work be an act of worship, and may my soul find its true rest in knowing You. Give me the grace to build for eternity and not just for today.

*In Jesus’ name, Amen.*

*When the Burden is Heavy*
There is a weight that goes beyond physical exhaustion. It is the weight of expectation, the pressure of responsibility, and the quiet strain of carrying problems that seem to have no easy answers.

When the road ahead looks long and your strength feels small, remember that even the strongest spirit was never meant to carry the world alone.

*The Story: A Quiet Strength in the Wilderness*
In the desert of Horeb, the prophet Elijah sat under a solitary broom bush, completely spent. He had reached the end of his emotional and physical reserves. He wasn't just tired; he was "burdened beyond measure." He did what many of us do when the weight becomes too much—he withdrew.

But notice how the burden was lifted. It wasn't through a lecture or a sudden removal of his problems. First, he was provided with rest and nourishment. Then, he was led to a mountain to listen. He looked for a solution in a great wind, an earthquake, and a fire, but the strength he needed wasn't in the loud or the spectacular.

It was found in a "still, small voice"—a gentle whisper that reminded him he was not alone and that his journey was not yet over. When our burdens are heavy, the answer is rarely found in doing more, but in being still enough to hear the whisper that restores the soul.

*Reflections for the Weary*
• *Psalm 55:22:* "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken."
• *Matthew 11:28:* "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
• *Isaiah 40:31:* "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

*Call to Action:*
Stop and identify the one specific burden that has kept you awake or drained your energy this week. Write it down on a piece of paper, then physically fold it and put it away as a symbolic act of transferring that weight from your shoulders to the Lord’s.

Commit to not picking that paper back up for the next 24 hours, trusting that the work is being sustained even while you rest.*MO* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGRlEdLLhSk&list=RDbGRlEdLLhSk&start_radio=1

*A Closing Prayer*
"Lord, I come to You today acknowledging that my strength is not enough for the road ahead. The burdens I carry feel heavy, and my spirit feels weary. I ask for the grace to let go of the things I was never meant to carry.
Help me to find rest in Your presence and to hear Your voice above the noise of my worries.

Refresh my heart, renew my mind, and give me the endurance to take the next step with peace. I trust that You are walking beside me and that Your strength is made perfect in my weakness.

Amen."

29/01/2026

In the world of leadership and stewardship, there is a constant temptation to rely on human structures—contracts, alliances, and the "right" people—to secure what we value. This devotional is a reminder that while we operate within these systems, our ultimate anchor must be elsewhere.

Devotional: Beyond the Arm of Flesh
The Story: King Asa’s Fatal Pivot (2 Chronicles 16)
King Asa began his reign as a man of profound spiritual dependence. When faced with a massive Ethiopian army, he didn't look to his own military might; he looked upward and received a miraculous victory.

However, years later, when threatened by King Baasha of Israel, Asa’s strategy shifted. Instead of relying on the Divine protection that had saved him before, he looked across the border to the King of Aram. He took the silver and gold from the Temple—sacred resources—and used them to buy a human alliance.

While the Syrian alliance worked in the short term—the enemy withdrew—the spiritual cost was high. The prophet Hanani confronted him, saying: "Because you relied on the king of Aram and not on the Lord your God, the army of the king of Aram has escaped from your hand." Asa’s mistake was believing that a human contract offered more security than a Divine covenant. He traded a Sovereign shield for a political proxy, forgetting that the "arm of flesh" is ultimately fragile.

3 Reflection Verses
Psalm 118:8-9: "It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes."

Jeremiah 17:5: "This is what the Lord says: 'Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord.'"

Micah 7:5: "Do not trust a neighbor; put no confidence in a friend. Even with the woman who lies in your embrace, guard the words of your lips."

Call to Action: The Audit of Trust
In any complex endeavor—whether in law, business, or community building—there is a thin line between using human systems and trusting in them.

Identify the Proxy: Reflect on where you might be substituting a "human connection" for foundational truth.

Verify the Root: Just as a building requires a firm foundation, ensure your plans are built on justice and integrity rather than the shifting promises of men.

Practice Discernment: Treat human alliances as tools, not as the source of security. Use wisdom and data to verify every claim. MO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7bLLzo0C74&list=RD_7bLLzo0C74&start_radio=1

Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that Your ways are higher than our ways. We ask for a spirit of discernment to navigate a world that often relies on deception and shifting loyalties.

Help us to work diligently within earthly systems while keeping our hearts anchored in Your unchanging truth. We release the need to find security in the "arm of flesh" and choose instead to walk in the confidence of Your justice. May the work of our hands be established on the rock of integrity.

Good Morning Saints, Praise King Jesus. *“He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.” Psa 40:2* Beloved, there are moments when life pushes us into *places we never planned, places of waiting, silence, and deep uncertainty.* The pit is dark, the waters feel overwhelming, and strength runs out. But hear this truth: *God does His best work when you have no way out. When you cannot climb, He lifts. When you cannot swim, He rescues (Isa 43:2).* God’s deliverance often comes in ways that *stretch us.* It may not look familiar, comfortable, or logical but it is intentional. What God stretches, He does not break. *He establishes your feet on solid ground, not so you can boast, but so you can stand (2 Cor 12:9).* Some will walk the journey with you yet remain asleep to what God is doing. Do not be offended by their silence or misunderstanding. *God advances destinies quietly before He announces them publicly (Hab 2:3).* Even when it seems your voice, your calling, or your proof has slipped away, be assured: *what God gives, He preserves. Nothing entrusted to Him is ever truly lost (Joel 2:25).* And when God sends you back to familiar places, *it is not regression it is assignment. You return with authority, compassion, and clarity.* You go back not to relive pain, *but to restore hope, to point the lost back home, and to testify that the Lord is faithful (Isa 61:3).* Release comparison, release the hunger for human approval. *Your identity is secure in Christ alone (Gal 2:20).* Saints, you were not abandoned. *You were rescued by grace. You were preserved by God. And you were sent back with purpose.* Have a blessed day, and God bless you abundantly. Stay blessed.

In the middle of life’s storms—whether they are literal or the internal storms of anxiety and stress—the most powerful tool we possess is a peace that doesn't make sense to the world. Keeping your peace isn't about the absence of trouble; it’s about the presence of a quiet confidence that you are not alone.

The Story: Sleeping in the Storm

Mark 4:35–41
After a long day of teaching, Jesus told his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." As they sailed, a "furious squall" came up. Waves broke over the boat, and it was nearly swamped. The disciples, many of whom were professional fishermen, were terrified.

Where was Jesus? He was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion.

In their panic, the disciples woke Him, crying out, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?" Jesus stood up, rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Immediately, the wind died down and it was completely calm.

He didn't rebuke them for their lack of skill; He questioned their lack of peace. Jesus could sleep in the storm because He knew the Father was in control of the sea. He invites us to have that same internal stillness, regardless of the "weather" outside our window.

3 Verses for Reflection
Scripture Key Takeaway
Philippians 4:6–7 "Do not be anxious about anything... And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds.

Isaiah 26:3 "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you."

John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled."

Call to Action: The "Stern" Practice
This week, when a situation arises that threatens to steal your peace (a difficult email, a looming deadline, or a conflict), practice the Pause of the Stern:

Step Away: For sixty seconds, physically remove yourself from the noise.

Audit Your Focus: Ask yourself, "Am I looking at the waves, or am I looking at the One who controls them?"

Release the Outcome: Verbally say, "I am doing my part, and I leave the rest to God." Intentionally decide that your joy is not for sale to the highest bidder of stress
