There's no lie spoken about you, however big, that can outlive the truth of your identity in God.
God spoke about the future of Joseph when he was 17 years and kept quiet for the Word to transport him to the future.
Joseph's brothers hated him and plotted to kill him but Reuben prevailed and they opted to sell him as a slave. (May there always be a person like Reuben to speak for you when evil men are plotting your downfall! )
However they lied to his father that he was torn and eaten by wild animals.
His father believed and mourned him and his countenance sunk for the rest of his life.
God never spoke to Jacob to tell him it was a lie because He already spoke through the dreams of Joseph.
And for a long time, Joseph carried the identity of a dead man.
Then he went to serve at Potiphar's house and another lie was spoken about him. And he was in prison serving a term for "attempted r**e".
Again, God did not say anything about this lie, but He was with Joseph in prison. As far as He was concerned, the Word He gave him at 17 years was very sufficient to carry him through the prison term.
Just because God is with you does not mean they won't lie about you. Sometimes the lie is part of the great plan.
When the fullness of the Word had come, the Truth about Joseph prevailed. He was who God said he was at the beginning.
The Word of God had tested him and found him true in character!
Psalms 105:17-22 He sent a man before themโ Josephโ[who] was sold as a slave. They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons. Until the time that his word came to pass, . The king sent and released him, The ruler of the people let him go free. He made him lord of his house, And ruler of all his possessions, To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his elders wisdom.
Some seasons are so silent you don't know if to believe the Word of God or what happened to you! Jacob had been in a bad state for a long time, until he heard that Joseph was alive. His heart stood still in disbelief, but when he saw the gifts from Joseph His spirit revived.
Genesis 45:26-27 And they told him, saying, "Joseph [is] still alive, and he [is] governor over all the land of Egypt." And Jacob's heart stood still, because he did not believe them. But when they told him all the words which Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the carts which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived.
Jacob did not have a written encounter with God from the time he received the news about Joseph's death. It is as if his life was paused and there was no more joy.
But on his way to Egypt, Jacob sacrificed to God in Beersheba and God spoke to him confirming that Joseph was alive and that the journey to Egypt would be a blessing.
Genesis 46:1-4 So Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac. Then God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, "Jacob, Jacob!" And he said, "Here I am." So He said, "I [am] God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there. I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up [again;] and Joseph will put his hand on your eyes."
When God doesn't speak about your current season, go back to the last word He spoke to you. That word is the means that will transport you to your next season.
There is no counsel against the Lord. There is no power from Hell that can stop what God has ordained for you! The Word of God will carry you through this season of transition.
This is a book in Season, God breathed on it! It will bring light to your seasons of Transition.
