Know Who You Are.
The Triumphant Believer.
Monday 16th March 2026
2 Corinthians 5:17
"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come."
Have you ever noticed how easily people define themselves by their past?
Someone might say, “I’m just not good with people,” or “I always mess things up,” or “That’s just who I am.” Sometimes those labels come from mistakes we made years ago. Sometimes they come from what others have said about us.
But here is an important question: What if the labels you are carrying are not the ones God has given you?
Imagine a young man who grew up hearing he would never amount to much. Those words stayed with him for years. Even when he got a good job and built a stable life, he still felt like a failure inside. The problem was not his ability, it was the identity he has believed.
Many believers live the same way spiritually. God has forgiven them, given them new life, and called them His children. Yet they still see themselves through the lens of their past, failures, good for nothing, rejected an d so many other negative things.
The Bible tells us something powerful: when we come to Christ, we become a new creation. We are not renovated or patched up. We are made NEW!
That means your past does not get the final word. Your mistakes do not define you. Your identity is now rooted in Jesus.
You are not who you used to be. You are who God says you are.
You are forgiven. You are loved. You are part of God’s family. You are being transformed day by day.
You have been empowered buy the Holy Spirit.
Understanding this truth can change how you pray, how you face challenges, and how you see your future.
Today, instead of repeating the old labels, begin to agree with God about who you are and that you do by reading and knowing the word.
Your identity in Christ is the foundation of a victorious life.
