KIBALI MINISTRY

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the Bible contains the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His immaculate conception by the Power of the Holy Ghost, His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles

, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension and glorification to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, the preaching of the Gospel of Salvation as outlined in 1 Corinthians 15:3-20, faith in Christ and regeneration of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe that the redemptive work of the cross provided for the salvation of the whole man; spirit, soul and body, that healing of the entire human being was provided for in the atonement. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Ghost by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the Speaking of other diverse tongues. We believe in the infilling of the Holy Ghost and His present ministry to glorify Jesus Christ, to equip, guide and instruct the believer to a godly life and service in the body of Christ and to humanity. We believe in the expression of the gifts of the Holy Ghost, the demonstration of the power and the fruit Holy Spirit as an essential part of the Christian walk and the public proclamation of the Gospel of Salvation and a witness of the resurrected Christ. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe that the Church, the Body of Christ, consists of the called out ones who are born again through the hearing and faith in the gospel of salvation. We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church and therefore the final authority for the believer and the conduct of the church in general which is the ground and pillar of truth. We believe in the Ministry of the Grace Gifts of Jesus Christ to the Body of Christ for the equipping of saints, the edifying of the body for the work of service until we all come to the unity of the Faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

_Ephesians 4:22-24 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

RENEWED IN REPENTANCE

Repentance should be the effect of beholding the glory of Christ. We see the glory of Christ through communion with the Holy Spirit.

We have to take Repentance for what it is; it is much to do with the state of the mind than it is with obtaining forgiveness. The word that is translated repentance is metanoia. A compound Greek word. Meta (change, growth, expansion), Noia( ideally the mind, intellectual faculty). Basically repentance is a change of perspective or worldvies, an expansion of the mind that results in change in lifestyle or response. This is what seeing Jesus Christ in Scripture, prayer or fellowship with other Christians will do to us.

With this kind of approach, we know then that the focus of repentance is not sin but the mind. One can be at a very good level of enlightenment yet still have a change of mind in a progressive way. Not only that, repentance is a continous exercise of the saint because the saint's utmost desire is to conform to the totality of Christ and be the icon; the exact representation of the Father in time-space.

Repentance is the means by which we grow in all things into him. There are few endeavors more important than this.

_1 Peter 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, [even] the salvation of [your] souls._

FAITH

You have probably know that when the purpose of a thing is unknown, it's abuse will follow naturally. This statement is quite true when you think about the common approach to many of the things God has given us, one of them being faith.

Faith cannot deliver its value if we do not know what it is and why it is given to is primarily. This means that, we have to put the cart and the donkey in the right order. You cannot put the foundation later in the building or start digging from beneath.

Today, Peter the apostle is reminding us that the goal of faith is to capture the value of salvation to the soul of mankind. Paul the apostle also shows us that we are saved by grace through faith;

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

It is from there that faith goes on to bring to the believer other things that are of spiritual significance to the believer and eventually things pertaining to a believer's disposition in the natural.

For instance, Peter continues to teach us that we are kept by the power of God through faith. The keeping power of God is active and visible in our lives through faith.

At the tertiary level, which has to do with the natural and what affects our bodies and physical well being, we see countless times that faith brought healing to people.

In Acts 14:9, we see that while Paul was preaching in Lystria, He looked into the eyes of a man and saw that the man had faith to be healed and thus he was healed!

Can you see the wonderful progression here? Luke's recording of Acts 14 will show you that Paul and Barnabas had gone to that region for no other reason but to preach the gospel, that is, to show that Jesus was the Christ, and that He suffered, died and rose from the dead for the sin of mankind.

When we understand faith and appreciate it for what it is, we will definitely enjoy all the wonderful benefits God brought to us through Christ. However, when we do not put things in the right order and be good stewards of the mystery of faith, we are likely to shipwreck it and render it useless.

Think about faith, what is your approach to it, How have you taken it up?

STUDY THE SCRIPTURES

The more you read and study scripture, the more you will see how everything written is interconnected for one key reason; to testify of Christ.

The testimony of Christ and His being revealed to mankind is the primary value we should get from scripture. I think it is possible to get other things from scripture; like good counsel on interpersonal relationships, stewardship and so forth but all these come secondary and are subservient to the reality of Jesus Christ being Savior and Lord.

Everyone should incline to extract maximum value from scripture. To do this, we have to allow the scriptures speak within themselves. As we compare scriptures with scriptures, it is prudent to use tools to aid our study. As you study, you can use word finders like a Bible concordance which will help you find every place a certain verse is used. You can use an English, Hebrew and Greek dictionary to find out meanings of words, tenses, applications and so forth. You can use historical resources to find out the contexts within which certain events were happening. You can use maps to find out where certain this happened.

All these things will not only lead you to better appreciate the glory of scripture but also ground you in knowledge and debunk false claims and misconceptions about the Bible. You will not need to be ashamed because you can rightly divided the word or truth. There is a right way of dividing or interpreting the word and it is enabled by study. More to that, you will see more clearly the plan of salvation God had for mankind. You will be abe to sanctify Christ Lord in your heart and have the readiness to give a defense of the hope that is in you with meekness, godly reverence and excellent competence.

Give yourself to these things. It is admirable to be knowledgeable in the things of God, our King and Father.

Jesus Christ is the destination of all biblical scripture. They testify of Him. We should arrive at Jesus Christ so that we may Have His life.

MY CONFESSION IS THIS:

The word of God is pleasant to me. I enjoy and desire to read the scriptures, they are not a task, they are a delight. Studying is a worthy investment of time.

Psalms 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

I will not get mental blocks while studying scripture. My mind does not wander into irrelevant things. My eyes are open and I discover wonderful treasures in the word of God.

SUNDAY EXHORTATION - UNDERSTANDING THE HELPER'S PRESENCE

_1 Peter 3:7 Husbands, likewise, dwell with [them] with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as [being] heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered._

Understanding will always distinguish the possessor thereof from the one devoid of it. There are very few things as important and as valuable as understanding. How I see it is that; a person's life will be so different if they understood what they know; whether the knowledge is right or wrong.

Spiritual understanding is a fruit of faith. God will always start at faith. When we believe Him, take Him at His word on the basis of His character as revealed in Christ, light dawns on our hearts and we are able to have insight. This way, we are able to experience and benefit from things that are beyond a natural human's understanding. There are such things that are beyond the natural understanding or rather the understanding of a man's natural mind. The understanding of these things is given spiritually through revelation.

The presence of the Holy Spirit has to be understood sufficiently. Sufficient understanding will enable the saint to take advantage of the Holy Spirit's ministry and presence. There is a subjective dynamic to every person's fellowship with the Holy Spirit. There are certain aspects of relationship that can never be a copy paste. One can learn from observation but it is impossible to copy paste intimacy. Intimacy with the Holy Spirit is a personal experience that every individual should learn to curate and grow. Understanding how The Holy Spirit is with you is the golden gate to this wonderful place of intimacy and partnership with Him.

STUDY THE SCRIPTURES

The scriptures themselves invite you to be a scholar of what is written in them. There is a significant number of verses that reveal to us the importance and value that the scriptures in totality carry. Paul the apostle says to Timothy in the general sense that the scriptures are able to make one wise unto salvation. There is nothing more important than this.

If one doesn't see the value in scripture, hardly would there be an inclination to interact with the Bible. In order to study the scriptures and encounter the mind of God, desire and a liking for scripture has to be developed. The devil has managed to make reading the word of God look like a task, a boring one at that. For many people, It is easy and more appealing to read through a column in their favorite grapevine magazine with the news about a celebrity's failing marriage than to read through a chapter in the new Testament epistles. The average young man in Africa knows all the 12 players in several football club teams but would hardly recall the 12 tribes of Israel, the 12 apostles of the lamb or the 12 stones used on the foundations of the city of God.

The very general place to start building the culture of Bible study is to start bible reading. This is the general reading of scripture to get aquiainted with what is recorded. Take the time to just read. Do it severally until you can notice patterns, themes, literature styles or until you begin to be more curious about anything in your reading. The moment your curiosity kicks in and you feel you want to know more, get the meaning or understand what appears to be contradicting, you are ready for Bible study. It is Bible reading that grows into Bible study.

If you haven't already started, this is a good time. Go find some of your favorite stories and start from there. Go find the common memory verses and find out whether you know them correctly. Go find out for instance whether Proverbs 16:18 really says that pride comes before a fall.

Challenge yourself. Your life depends on this!

You have to decide that the Bible is the only compilation that has the most valuable information that will ever exist. The bible comes second to nothing as the authority for Christian living. Let this decision be true and meaning something to you.

ESTEEM THE WORD HIGHLY

As a son of God, you have to decide that the words of your Father are the most valuable, the most profitable and honorable words to ever exist. This is because there is an affront to minimize the value, integrity and power of scripture in the present day and age. The spirit of the age is always seeking ways to make people have a low view of Scripture or the Bible.

Saint, there is no other resource that defines reality for you and I more than the word of God. Jesus, which praying to God for His disciples, us included, said to the Father; "your word is truth". The word translated truth is aletheia in the greek which means reality.

Ideally, there are things that you have to know concerning the scriptures and settle them in your heart as true.

1. All of the scriptures are God breathed and inspired by God. We would not have the scriptures as they are if the men and women who wrote them were not inspired by the Holy Spirit. All of that content comes from God.

Over 40 authors from different professions, ages, social political and economic contexts across 3 continents spaning 1500 years all wrote concerning on theme; God revealing Himself to man and reaching out to him to save Him through His son Jesus Christ.

2. The scriputes are infallible. When taken seriously and rightly divided, the word cannot be broken and cannot teach fallacy.
You can trust God today in the full confidence that He cannot change His word or go back on what He has said.

3. The scriptures are inerrant. There are no errors in the Bible. The bible was perfectly recorded by those that were inspired to write it. The frailty of the human element doesn't come in the way because God ultimately protects the authors divinely and ensures they record the truths there in without error.

God has given us a way to know Him and His world by giving us the Holy Scriptures. We must esteem this resource very highly if we are to enjoy the benefits it has to us.

CREATED FOR GOOD WORKS.

Purpose is identity sensitive. There a reason why your spirit, soul and body are designed and created the way they are both separately and collectively. There is a purpose that God had in mind according to the counsel of His will.

The question of purpose becomes quite easy to answer once you discover who you are in God, know God who created you and fashioned you, and the expectation He has towards you.

For starters, your spirit was designed and created as it is to allow union with God and response to His love and presence. Your spirit knows the love of God, it receives it and then reveals it to your would. The soul can then respond to the reality of love in the spirit, this response is what we call worship. Worship is a good work prepare before hand that we should walk in it.

Your soul is a wonderful part of you. The soul is simply a gateway that let's through and gives language to what is in the spirit. This is important since we need to experience in the physical the things freely given to us.

As every bit of your being is significant, remember that every part of your journey as a person is important and relevant. Nothing you have been through will ever be wasted.

There are good works prepared before hand that I should walk in them on the basis of my identity in Christ.

I glorify my Father in heaven and please Him by faith. Anything that is not faith is sin. I speak by faith and walk by faith.

God created me to know Him and get into fellowship with Him. This is the highest privilege in all existence.

GOD WITHIN

Try not to operate out of the illusion of separation from God. Many believers love God, worship God, read their bibles, go to church, pray, do all kinds of Christian activities and rightly so. However these are done from a default subconscious belief that God is somewhere outside of ourselves. This has set many on an endless wild goose chase which has frustration as the highest and most evident yield.

Jesus Christ, the one who came to reveal the Father to us drew those who believed in Him to start the journey of relationship from within. He said the Kingdom of God (and by extension the King) is within you. Here is something;

_John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him._

God is resident in you. He is bearing witness of your sonship to Him. The one you are seeking outside has made you a temple. Let your conscience draw you inwards to the temple that you are to acknowledge the Christ in you who is the hope of Glory.

Paul says in Colossians that the mystery that was hidden for generations but now revealed; Christ in you, the Hope of Glory. This is the foundation and pillar of a true and living Christian experience; the expression of God from within.

You are a partaker of divine nature.

CONVERSATIONS WITHIN

The conversations we have within our hearts influence the outcome of our lives significantly. Jesus said that it's not the things that come from the outside that defile a man but the things that come from the inside.

The woman with the issue of blood had heard about Jesus and what He could do. She had tried everything within her ability to get cured of her issue but there was no actual good result. She resolved to trying Jesus and therefore said to herself "if only I could touch the helm of His garment..."

This inner conversation was the driving force to actually go against any cultural laws to get a hold of her healing. A woman in her situation wasn't supposed to be outside let alone in the midst of crowds. She was to be isolated and considered unclean. The voice of her conviction about was however louder than the voices of the law and of tradition.

It's important to also note that the conversations within you will are determined by the things you hear and put your mind to.
Faith and fear both come by hearing. Be around faith conversations to build your faith. Always listening to unbelief cannot yield faith responses to life issues. To build your love for Jesus, you have to be around Jesus things and Jesus conversations.

As yourself what conversations have been ongoing in your heart over time? This shows you what you have been consuming over time. You will understanding where your experiences are coming from.

TAKE HOMES FROM OUR SUNDAY SERMON.

✨God will not enlarge you without a priesthood.

✨In the New Covenant, God gives us the opportunity for our spirituality to express dominion and subjugation.

✨Increase will not happen by the mechanisms and systems you’re familiar with. The spaces God wants you to take over aren’t unoccupied, so God must first increase and heighten your awareness of Him.

✨Nothing is neutral really—there’s a reason why people do the things that they do.

✨Don’t pursue outside Scripture the things that Scripture has made provision for.

✨It is supposed to be visible that you’re called by the name of the Lord.

✨When you put a demand on heaven over the thing that you sowed, it never comes back at the same level. You will always withdraw more.

✨There’s nowhere God took a man without a word and spirituality, hence the necessity for priesthood.

✨The priest is an identifier of the truth that God has brought to you.

✨Never make a move from offense, dishonor, to get even, or anger.

✨How you see your priest is how you see God.

✨Purpose is not qualified from a material front; it starts with aligning with God.

✨Don’t be preoccupied by the trappings of the fulfilled promise.

✨I play a big part in advancing the Gospel, so if God enlarges me, the better.

✨Service to another man is an opportunity to prove faithfulness. Stewardship comes to faithfulness.

✨God brings you to a place of vision to expand you. A person with vision lives beyond themselves.

✨Where there’s work, there’s increase. It’s not necessarily for provision; it’s for expression of deity.
