bible study Deut 11&12&2john 1
Ruth.1.16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: (KJV)
Ruth.2.11 - And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.
Ruth.3.3 - Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking.
Ruth.4.13 - So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son.
Ruth.4.17 - And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
Today I'm reminded about the power of following.
Looking at the life of Ruth the daughter in-law of Naomi,you see a focused woman.When Naomi told them not to follow her she choose not to be offended but to follow till the end.
She followed Naomi and in Bethlehem Judah she got soo blessed until she was joined to the lineage of the Messiah Jesus Christ.Orpha who just cried a little and turned back became the mother of Goliath the enemy of the people of God.Unless you follow to the end you can never have an inheritance.Elisha was told by Elijah severally to go back but he swore not to live him and at the very end he received a double annoiting of the mantle of Elijah.Joshua the son of nun bible calls him the servant of Moses,bible says when Moses left to the tent Joshua the son of nun never Departed from the terbanacle, hallelujah!!! Later he take Israel to her inheritance,he helps them divide the promised land,bible says he was full of the spirit of wisdom because Moses the servant of the Lord had laid his hands on him and Israel hearkened unto him.If Jonathan had followed David faithfully I believe he wouldn't have died prematually on mt.giboa with his father Saul.
Many people when they see the weakness of their mentors run away and they start talking I'll of the mentors,this causes an abortion to their destinies.Anybody who became anything followed someone and received an impartation.You can never be self made.You can never have authority unless you are under authority.Today I pray for someone,look up unto who to follow.Even Jesus bible says he called the twelve,first that they may be with him to receive an impartation and later send them.You can't be impacted by any grace that you fight or mock.May God help us.Whose son are you?this was the question Saul asked about David when he killed Goliath.The Holy Spirits asks whose son are you?Have a blessed moment.
