WHEN GOD SPEAK HE HAS SPOKEN

When balack king of Moab saw what the Israelites had done to the ammonites he summoned Balaam to come and curse the Israelites so that he could be able to defeat them because he knew Balaam had power to curse or bless .
Numbers 22:6 Now come and put a curse on these people, because they are too powerful for me. Perhaps then I will be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land. For I know that whoever you bless is blessed, and whoever you curse is cursed.”

> Balaam was summoned with a promise of being rewarded handsomely if he cursed the Israelites but he replied in Numbers 22:18 Even if Balak gave me all the silver and gold in his palace, I could not do anything great or small to go beyond the command of the Lord my God.

> When Balaam refused to curse Israelites after balack sent his officials two times the king thought it Wise to change places of action to pursuade Balaam to curse Israelites but he responded in Numbers 23:8 How can I curse those whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce those whom the Lord has not denounced? Despite that answer balack never gave up instead he took Balaam to different places and continued to pursuade him to curse the Israelites but this time God Sayed to him through Balaam in Numbers 23:19-20 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it.

> This should teach us that when God speak he has spoken and nobody or anything can disqualify you from what God has said about you regardless of what that person will do or say even if they change places of action his words over your life must come to pass . If God say you are blessed, you will be victorious nobody can say otherwise. The only person who can disqualify you is yourself when you doubt and rebel against God .

STANDING FIRM AND REMAINING UN SHAKEN IN CHRIST

Nothing happens in your life that God is not aware of. When you go through challenges you may feel forgotten, you may feel as if people hate you without cause, you may feel afraid and as if you have reached the end but what is important is to know ,who the real enemy is and who you should be afraid of so that God glory can be seen and his will can be done.
Luke 12:4-5
[4]“I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.
[5]But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.

> It's good to know who to be afraid of, the one who can only kill the body or the one who has authority to send you to hell when you are dead. The moment we know who the real enemy is and inform God he will hear us and fight our battle. Many Christians fight the wrong enemies, Jesus never told us to fear people, who can insult and reject us but if you know who the real enemy is, you are going to value and consider your God more powerful because only him who has the power to protect you from those enemies.
Ephesians 6:11-12
[11]Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
[12]For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

> Don't waste your time fighting people with blood and flesh they're not the real enemy the enemy you are suppost to fight is the devil through prayer because he uses people and only through prayers spiritual battles are worn. Your family members or friends and others may not be the enemy but they are being used by the devil to cause you problems. Fear God more than people and he will deliver you from all devil schemes. Those who fear God shall be victorious.

WE MAY BE CRUSHED BUT NOT FINISHED

> 2 Corinthians 4:8-9
[8]We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;
[9]persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

> We may be crushed but not finished we shall not give up and God of peace who is able shall help us to overcome. The journey of salvation has many challenges but our God is able to protect us .

>Acts 27:10 21-25
As Paul and other passengers were traveling they faced many dangers in the sea but Paul through the help of the holy Spirit had seen the danger and tried to warn the captain in advance but he was ignored. On their way they encountered a lot of problems that caused their ship to be destroyed but when they all gave up hope of being saved the holy spirit assured Paul that none of them was going to loose his life except the ship.

>In todays life there are people who have reached the end due to what they are going through just like Paul and his colleagues but God is assuring us none of us is going to perish but we are going to live for the glory of God. This means you may go through challenges like sickness, wars but just like Paul we are not on our own and we are not going to perish but we will reach where God is taking us through challenges. It comes a time in live when one has to pass through a season of challenges but instead of giving up it's good to pass the test of faith and say if Iam going through these challenges so that God can be praised so be it. It is better to go through challenges while in Christ than to go through challenges while on devil's side because when God allows you to go through challenges you emerge victorious but on devil's side you die. God does not kill he restores.

> So when you go through challenges pray to God if it is your will I go through this challenges let your name be glorified.

HOW DO WE KNOW FAITH WORKS

> One of the thing that makes us to know how faith works is by getting knowledge of God through the scriptures.
Romans 10:17
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

> Faith is not merely mentor agreement with God truth, it's active trust in God that shapes obedience and reliance in God in our lives.Daniel 3:16-26
[16]Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter.
[17]If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand.
[19]Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual
[20]and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace.
[24]Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?” They replied, “Certainly, Your Majesty.”
[25]He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”
[26]Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!” So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire,

> Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had total trust in God when they were threatened that they were going to be thrown to the fire if they refused to bow to the king golden idol , they boldly told Nebuchadnezzar that the God they worshipped had power to safe them and God did. Ask yourself do you have total trust in God who you worship today ?

> Without this knowledge faith becomes blind believe or superstition rather than biblical faith.

FROM DEFEAT TO DELIVERANCE

Romans 7:19,24-25
[19]For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.
What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death .Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

> Paul desired to do things that pleased God but he found himself doing things that didn't not please God and he is crying in desperation asking who will rescue me , this is because when you try to do good things on your own you will not make it unless Jesus helps you.
A postle Paul despite being devoted in God he was struggling with body desires. You may have been struggling like Paul trying to handle things by yourself like unforgiveness, unholiness and any time you try to get out of that situation you find yourself sinking and failing because you are trying on your own unless you surrender to Jesus unless you ask for help from him you will continue to sink and fail Jesus is the only solution. The bible says Romans 8:5,8
[5]Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
[8]Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
The spirit is willing but the flesh is resisting many Christians find themselves in such situations . Paul was crying in desperation, he felt helpless if you have been struggling with flesh don't hate yourself all you need to know is that in this life if you struggle alone you will always be defeated it's only with Jesus you can be able to overcome the struggle of the body. Paul finishes with victory declaration of thanking God because he has gotten deliverance. I don't know what you have been struggling with in your life may God help us to realize our weaknesses and Call unto Jesus .

UNITY OF PURPOSE IN BODY OF CHRIST

1 Corinthians 12:12-28
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.

> As a church we are one body with many organs that have been United with one purpose of making Jesus known. Just like the way God created every organ in our body with a unique function so is the same in the body of Christ where God has given us different spiritual gifts to do different tasks in his kingdom. These organs in one body were not created to compete but to cooperate with a common goal or purpose which is for God work to be done.

> As we serve God with the gifts that he has given us it is good to be humble and not to think of ourselves more important than others in God service because Romance 12:3-8 clearly shows us, as body of Christ every organ belong to all others . We have different gifts according to the grace given to each of us to work together to accomplish the work of God in unity.

> People makes mistake of not appreciating the gifts that God has given them to serve and prefer those ones that will make them famous like being able to prohecy or teaching the word of God in pulpit. It is good to accept and serve God with the gift that you have been given instead of ignoring it and trying to be what you have not been called to be. Every organ is able to function well In the function it was created to do, there is no way an ear can function as an eye , so do what God has called you to do for unity of purpose just like body organs does. If you try to be what God has not called you to be you will not be able to achieve anything ,if you have not been called to prohecy you will end up giving false prohecy that will never come to pass. 1st Corinthians 10:31 tell us whatever you do ,do it to glorify God. Our God given gifts are for glorifying God there are not for making us famous, they are not for competing, they are meant to achieve one purpose of serving the body of Christ in unity.

WHEN GOD PROMISES

JOSHUA 1:3-9 LUKE 1:11 -20
> When God promises He always fulfill at his own appointed time. It does not matter what are the challenges or limitations God is not limited by them what matters is that God have spoken because what He says always come to pass. Luke 1 :11-20 when God spoke to Zachariah even though he doubted and asked God in Luke 1:18 ]Zechariah asked the angel, “How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.” God fulfilled it.

> Has God spoken in your life? Believe and don't doubt because he that promised is faithful and does not lie Numbers 23:19
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

> When God spoke to Joshua he never doubted though he was afraid he believed because God had promised earlier that he was going to take them to the promised land. That is why God had to tell him to Be strong and courageous three times and not to be afraid; or be discouraged, for the Lord was going to be with him wherever he went.”

> Zachariah doubted but Joshua believed and all that was promised to both of them was fulfilled.
When God promises
1. His presence is assured God promised Joshua victory and assured him that no one was going to stand against him and God was with him wherever he went.

2: When God promises obedience and faith is highly required Joshua was encouraged by God to be courageous and obey God.

3: When God promises his promises are not cancelled by impossibilities, when God comes to fulfill he does not look at the limitations like age of Zechariah or any other . If we obey God will move with us without looking at our limitations.

> It is better to choose to believe like Joshua and be empowered by God than to doubt like Zachariah and be silenced untill it happens.

4: God delay is not denial and sometimes God waits for you to mature for him to fulfill 2 Peter 3:9

WHEN GOD REMEMBERS YOU

LUKE 1:5-20
Zachariah the priest and his wife Elizabeth were righteous in the sight of the lord but they were old and childress because Elizabeth was not able to conceive. When Zachariah was serving God in the temple the angel of the Lord appeared to him standing at the right side of the altar and when Zechariah saw him he was gripped with fear. But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord..” verse [18]Zechariah asked the angel, “How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.”[19]The angel said to him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news.
[20]And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their appointed time.”

> Many times we fast and pray that God may remember us but the question is what will happen when God remember us. God remembered Zachariah and sent angel Gabriel with good news that his prayers have been answered but instead of believing he doubted and as a result he was told that he would remain silent untill the baby was born. On the other hand when Elizabeth became pregnant she rejoiced and thanked God for answering her prayers in Luke 1:24-25

> The problem we have among believers is doubting God ability to answer their prayers. It's not good to be blessed by God and go silent because of doubting , God's blessings and reports are to be accepted , believed and celebrated through testimonies to show that you are recognising what God is doing in your life. As a believer it's good for your blessing to be noted by others so that they can know that, God does.

GOD WILL REMEMBER YOU

People who follow God see God because it comes a time in life when God remembers them after trusting and waiting upon Him like Hannah despite the provocation she got from her rival penina 1st Samuel 1:1 - 27 Hannah was blessed by God because she waited upon God through prayers untill her womb was opened without caring what people said or her rival penina said in 1st Samuel 2:1 - 8 Hannah prayed and said my heart rejoices in the Lord my mouth boast over my enemies for I delight in your deliverance there is no one holy like the lord, she who was barren has borne seven children. The Lord sends poverty and wealth he humbles and he exalts He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats with princes

Genesis 32:24-28
Jacob wrestled with God over night and his name was changed from Jacob to Israel when he told God I will not let you go unless you bless me. Jacob knew God could bless him. The reason why you attend church every Sunday should not be normal routine but rather should be to come and wrestle with God in prayer believing and telling God you must bless me, you must uplift me so that your name can be glorified. My question is do you wrestle with God in prayer ? or you attend church as normal routine.

1 Chronicles 4:9-10
[9]Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.”
[10]Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.

> When you pray a decisive Prayer God will remember you like Jabez who prayed to God and he was blessed. Hannah was also remembered and blessed because she prayed persistantly. Be close to God and God will be close to you and will remember you. When God remembers you He changes your identity ,He expand your territories.
