A good piece here,
KNOWING & DOING
(Many Teachers & Preachers But Breachers)
Knowing is information, doing is transformation. A driver may know the red light means “stop”, but may go anyway. There’s only one thing that really matters in the life of a Christian; it is not just to know God, but to do what God made you know. You can sing about Him as much as you can, you can talk about Him from dawn to dusk, but if you don’t do what God has made known to you, you’re just like a “sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal” (1 Cor. 13:1).
Talk is cheap, but walk is expensive; you can talk about where you want to go, but walking to it is a different thing. You may know Christ, but Christ may not know you (Matt. 7:23). Many aged have knowledge, they’ve lived long in life and have all the experience they need but are not living the godly way. Many professors profess that they know Christ, but they fail to do His will. Many are listeners of the word but are not doers of the word (James 1:22).
It’s possible to teach Christ, preach Christ, and yet still breach the will of Christ. Judas knew Jesus better; he knew the face of Jesus, he knew where he often was, but he failed to do what Jesus often told him. The Psalmist cried; “Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God” (Psalms 143:10). “When you know better, do better” (Maya Angelou). God loves you! (James 4:17). ©️Michael Adarkwah Agyemang
