No matter your schedule, start your day always on your knees in prayers.
Wishing will never be a substitute for prayer. Don’t worry about having the right words. Just pray. Pray hardest when it’s hardest to pray. God does nothing but by prayer. Prayer will make you cease from sin. Prayer will make you cease from worry. Martin Luther said, “Pray, and let God worry.”
God listens even the smallest prayers. Pray with your eyes on God, not on the difficulties. And never stop praying after God gives you what you prayed for. Going to God’s presence is the greatest human privilege. Prayer is the cure for a broken heart, confused mind and a weary soul.
God is not a genie. He wants a relationship with you. He wants your heart in the right place – love for the Blesser, not the blessing. Mother Teresa once said, “Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depths of our hearts.”
Prayer is not what makes a Christian alive, it is the evidence that he is alive. Your problem is not unanswered prayer, but prayerlessness. E. M. Bounds wrote, “Four things let us ever keep in mind: God hears prayer, God heeds prayer, God answers prayer, and God delivers by prayer.
