The Armor of God

As the wolrd celebrate Mother's day, we acknowledged that women are The pillar of Each ministry and very instrumental in every endeavour, Mother's love is bliss, is peace, it need not be acquired, it need not be deserved. If it is there, it is like a blessing; if it is not there it is as if all the beauty had gone out of life Happy and blessed Mother's day to all mothers around the Globe.

And Mary said, ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed.’” – Luke 1:46-48.

Church Manners

Tuck in your breasts and don’t display your thighs and butts – especially if you are seated in-front or leading praise and worship. Why distract the preacher and the other worshippers?

While in church, switch off your phone. Avoid chewing gums. And don’t dump stuff in church. If you must sleep during the service, do so in the back middle row. You can also yawn there.

Stop staring at people as they pray and praise – you too went to church to worship. And turning bible pages endlessly is also rude – you can do your private bible study at home.

Please take care of crying babies. And unless you have an emergency, don’t walk out till the service is over. Like any other organization, the church has bills – don’t go to church empty handed.

If you sing off-key like me, please reduce your volume. When others have finished praying, please shut up. For God is not a God of disorder (1 Cor 14:33). Finally, couples, go kiss at home or in your car.

No matter your schedule, start your day always on your knees in prayers.

Wishing will never be a substitute for prayer. Don’t worry about having the right words. Just pray. Pray hardest when it’s hardest to pray. God does nothing but by prayer. Prayer will make you cease from sin. Prayer will make you cease from worry. Martin Luther said, “Pray, and let God worry.”

God listens even the smallest prayers. Pray with your eyes on God, not on the difficulties. And never stop praying after God gives you what you prayed for. Going to God’s presence is the greatest human privilege. Prayer is the cure for a broken heart, confused mind and a weary soul.

God is not a genie. He wants a relationship with you. He wants your heart in the right place – love for the Blesser, not the blessing. Mother Teresa once said, “Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depths of our hearts.”

Prayer is not what makes a Christian alive, it is the evidence that he is alive. Your problem is not unanswered prayer, but prayerlessness. E. M. Bounds wrote, “Four things let us ever keep in mind: God hears prayer, God heeds prayer, God answers prayer, and God delivers by prayer.
