Dear Christian Brother and Sister,

The service has ended, and I trust you had a wonderful and Spirit-filled time in the presence of God.

Being a church goer simply means attending church mainly for yourself.

You come for the service, but may not attend to the needs of others.

You are available to be seen, but not necessarily to be used.

But that is not the plan of our Lord Jesus.

God desires us to be MEMBERS, not merely goers.

A member functions. A member makes supply to other parts of the body.

A member prays for others, for the service, the pastor, and the leaders.

Just like we see in the book of Acts,
members give sacrificially to ensure that the needs of the local church are met.

They attend other meetings beyond the traditional Sunday services.

They gather to pray when there is a need, just as the church prayed when Peter and John were threatened and when Peter was in prison.

They go out for evangelism, just like the believers in Acts 8.
And much more.

Stop being just a goer. Start being a member!

Join a department and function.

Attend the prayer meetings.

Ask about the needs of your church and participate in giving towards them.

Come early and be available for service.

Don't attend church alone, bring someone with you.

And throughout the week, live in a way that makes your local church proud.

Never forget: it is not only that the local church needs you. You need it even more!

Whenever you attend church services, come prepared, with your Bible and notes, and that you are ready to receive and participate.

Also, remember something for the children's church and give your best in every way.

Church is not just another meeting. It is one of the greatest gatherings on earth, the gathering of God's people.

May the Word you received today continue to bear fruit in your life throughout the week.

I call you blessed.

Today is SUNDAY.

It is set apart for corporate worship and fellowship. It is instructive that individual devotion is not a substitute for gathering with the saints.

Paul, in Acts 9, had a need for community, from Ananias to Barnabas and the wider church, despite having had that unique revelation of Jesus. Later, in Acts 13, his apostolic work was commissioned within the community of believers.

Today, we have gathered, worshipped, listened, prayed, given, and fellowshipped together.

Keep showing up to church. Go regularly. Go for a long time,, years, if not decades.

Build relationships. Encourage other believers. Welcome new friends and family, friends. Be part of the assembly.

You are doing it unto Jesus.

May we continue to be blessed and make progress spiritually.

Amen.

Have a blessed and Spirit-filled week.

ZEAL is of God

John 2:17
17 And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.

Beloved, never come to a point in your Christian experience where your hunger for God has waned.

MATTHEW 17:17-20

> Faith does not fail
> Give your faith a voice
> When You speak, listen to what you are saying so that it will go through your mouth to get into your spirit.
>If it can get into your spirit and take hold of your spirit, your spirit will use it as a material to provide and produce for you all that is necessary for a life that is consistent with what you have been saying.

It's Church this morning again.
The Church is the Body of Christ- the local assembly brings accountability, service, and growth.
So go beyond attendance today: assemble, identify, share, and fellowship.

Be ready to serve, and eager to learn. Get committed.

Also give generously.

ROMANS 4:1 (NKJV)
"What then shall we say that Abraham our father[a] has found according to the flesh?"
