Children grow not only in height and knowledge but also in character, and the Bible teaches how this growth can happen through faith in Christ.
In Epistle to the Colossians 2:6–7, believers are encouraged to be rooted in Christ, built up in Him, strengthened in faith, and overflowing with thankfulness. Just as a strong tree stands firm because its roots go deep into the ground, children who grow their lives in Jesus develop strong character expressed through respect, obedience, kindness, honesty, and gratitude.
Each good habit, such as listening to teachers, helping at home, speaking kindly, and refusing to do wrong, builds their life step by step like stones in a building.
As children learn to make good choices and practice thankfulness, they begin to produce the fruit of good behavior that blesses their families, schools, and communities, showing that strong roots in Christ lead to strong and meaningful lives.
