I recall a friend of mine while growing up back then in school would come to school so excited. This is because she was promised a whole lot of beautiful things if she did well in her exams. It kept her going. She pushed harder because she knew what was ahead of her was beautiful. Indeed, her hard work paid off and on going home, her parents rewarded her diligence. She could get more than she bargained for or expected because her parents were pleased. She shared some of those goodies with me.

See, this is an earthly parent doing this. How much more our heavenly Father? The Word tells us that God gives us more than our expectation. It pleases Him to see gIs children happy. When you pray, do you expect anything? Can you now imagine being given an overflow of what you requested ? That is God for you. He is not just seated on His throne looking and enjoying your suffering. No. He is a Father and a loving one at that.

This calls for a question. Do you really trust Him? How much of Him do you know? Yes, there is a place for mercy. True. But also, there is a place of knowledge. The word says that they that know their God shall do exploits. Far above what we can think.

That thing you are thinking about right now that looks impossible, God can surpass it if you let Him. He can go beyond what we even think or ask. When He heals He does it completely and perfectly as if that disease never existed in the first place. Trust Him today and allow Him Father you.

The moment someone gets born again, it is the beginning of a journey of victory first because of conquering the devil and then other victory's follow. We all know what happens in order for one to be called a victor. They must have overcome something.

There are so many issues in life because the devil is not rested. The enemy keeps throwing his darts at believers so that they can denounce God and follow him. The enemy will use tricks and wiles to lure believers. To make them believe contrary to what the Word says.

This is when we can employ the power within us that God has given us. So many believers are not conscious of the power they carry. The enemy was disarmed and the power was given to us the moment Jesus resurrected. The exceeding great things that God does in and through us us According to the power that is at work within us.

Use faith. Use the Word. Use prayer. Use meditation on the word and so many tools we have been given to conquer the Fowler. Yes, God does beyond our expectations but it is according to the power that works in us. Without this, we frustrate the work of the Lord. After all, this power is His own. He makes us both to Will and to do. Why not surrender to Him today and stop using our own wisdom?

Text : 2 Corinthians 4:18

Title : Look at what is true.

Purpose : To let believers know that their current states are not the truth about them

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:18

18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

In this life right here in the world our Lord Jesus told us that we will go through tribulations. That means we will have some hard times come our way but for a believer they come to make our faith grow and not to finish or hurt us.

For this reason, we are expected to look into God and what His word says. The word says that the things which our physical eyes can see are temporal. Meaning the disease that the microscope could see, that financial constraint, that relationship that is falling apart, those children that are wayward, the situation is temporal.

That thing that is eternal is the promises of God in relation to that thing that you are going through. By His stripes you are healed. Speak and focus your eyes on that truth. If you do not draw back to perdition, what is in the spirit that Jesus has already given us, will manifest. And that is the truth about you and I regardless of the prevailing circumstances at the moment.

There are benefits in being a believer. I've heard that people who worship the devil are always on their toes not to disappoint him because there is a nasty consequence which can be as bad as their lives being taken should they miss or disobey an order or instruction.

This is not so with our God.. Hallelujah! Our Father is kind. He is Gracious. In fact, He says that as long as you are a believer, which the King James calls Just, your path must shine brighter and brighter. You go from Glory to Glory. When you miss the mark He does not kill you. His Grace covers you and carries you through. hallelujah! Wow!
What a Father.

The only condition is that you must be just. You must be a believer.

Are you a believer?

Purpose : To let believers know that their bodies are not their own.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:20

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Our theme scripture talks of being bought with a price. Well, we are used to money of different currencies depending with where you are located in the world. Some are familiar with trading something for another. It is still a price paid for that thing.

What our theme scripture refers to by price is more and far greater than just money or trade. It is blood. Someone died for you to be who you are. Someone was abused, humiliated for your sake. You are the one that made the mistake but another took the judgement. Wow!

That is God for you. This is why you cannot afford to mess around with your body or spirit. You who are not born again, this is the time and chance to do so. You cannot afford to underestimate the work of the cross. Jesus died for you and I to live. He was wounded so that we live in total health. What a God!

Use your body to serve Him. No wonder the bible tells us that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Nothing else.

There is a slogan that at some point was very viral. It still is. “My dress, my choice.” Now, on what or whose body are you dressing your choice? Have we not been told that our bodies are not our own? They belong to God.

Our body is to glorify God and that includes how we dress, how we talk and everything we do with our bodies. You cannot defile your body in any way because it is not your own as long as you are born again. God dictates what you do with that body He has given you.

In whatever we do, remember, we are not our own. Be very careful with what you do with it, your body.

People usually say that if a man and woman get married and they stay together for sometime, they start looking alike. The siblings kind of alike. This is because they have been together, beholding the presence of each other for a good period of time.

This is what should be when it comes to Christ. We must be like Christ. This can only be possible if we spend time with Him. And not just time but good time with Him. It is not possible to be born again but you have no time to pray or if you happen to create time it is five minutes.

We must invest some good time and make it consistent if we are to be like Him. In prayer, in studying the word and in all aspects of life including getting Intimate with Him. The word says that the veil is removed meaning we can now see clearly which enables us to reflect that which we have received.

You can only reflect if you have received. Make that choice today.

Purpose : To let believers know that praying is not a matter of choice

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Prayer, as long as you are a believer, is not a matter of choice. God expects you to pray. God wants you to pray. God needs you to pray. Not because He cannot do anything without prayer but for our own good. Prayer keeps us connected with God. It builds our intimacy and relationship with God.

When the Word says “when” it means there is no room for excuse why prayer did not happen. It means you and I are expected to bring the things that are in the spirit to the physical manifestation. Everything we need is already provided to us. Prayer helps us experience these things. Prayer makes us live in their reality.

When we pray, then there is a manifestation of the promises of God. Then and only then can we have them for a possession. Do you need something from the LORD? Do you want to go deeper in intimacy with Him? Pray.

Purpose : To let believers know that God hates a double life

The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.

The book of James tells us that a double minded person should not suppose that they will receive anything from God. Even as humans, how do you feel dealing with someone who is indecisive? It is exhausting!

Our theme scripture tells us that those living a double life are unfaithful and that leads them into destruction. One foot cannot be in the world while the other in the Lord. That way you even lose both of them.

It is unfortunate that this generation loves dual life. One says they are born again but they still entertain the seat of the scornful. They still backbite. They still walk and interact with works of darkness. This is a double life and it leads to destruction.

Neither hot nor cold is a person that the Lord will spit out. It is better you make a decision now. I recommend you choose life. Be hot for the Lord.

Purpose : To let believers know that God requires them to be sharp

If the iron is blunt, and one does not sharpen the edge, he must use more strength, but wisdom helps one to succeed.

Wisdom is in other words defined as the right way to apply knowledge. The know-how to approach and solve issues. Well, the bible says that wisdom is the aid to our success. That it is profitable to direct.

In this life and its issues one needs wisdom to navigate it properly. Divine wisdom for that matter and this is obtained only if one is in Christ. Just knowing the word of God and not knowing how to apply it will make one a victim to the schemes of the wicked one.

Wisdom helps us to know the what aspect, the when, the where, the why , the which and the how of all matters of life. Wisdom enables us to know when to hide, when to stand, when to walk away and when to run. It gives us strategy so that we win the testations of our time.

It will have no results if one prays away what obedience can take care of. It doesn't matter the volume of the prayers. Substituting one for another in order to escape the consequences of our actions will just make us go round circles for a very long time.

Wisdom helps us to navigate life successfully.

Purpose : To let believers know that God requires them to be sharp

Even in the natural, when using a blunt object to cut that means extra strength is needed to be applied to one to get the intended results. Our theme scripture states very clearly for us.

Looking at the spiritual aspect or angle, this can mean knowledge of the word of God. Being ignorant according to law is not an excuse. In the spiritual realm, being ignorant is very costly because you end up doing things and being a victim of things you are not supposed to be. You entertain things that are supposed to be subject to you.

This requires you to use too much strength to achieve something that was freely yours all along. This is why reading and studying the word is very important to you as a believer. Praying and fasting is another tool of overcoming the enemy. Being aligned is key because you become sharpened to tackle any dart that is thrown at you by the enemy. You get equipped with the armour of God so you overcome all the tricks of the enemy.

Refuse to be ignorant. Refuse to be blunt.
