▪️ Theme: Repentance and the Confession of the People

*_Nehemiah 9:3: 'And they rose up in their seat, and read in the book of the law of the Lord their God a fourth part of the day; and in the other fourth part they made confession and worshipped the Lord their God.'_*

The confession of sins was accompanied by a deep time of prayer and worship. This verse shows us that true repentance is not just an emotional moment, but a commitment to God. The people recognized their failure, sought God in earnest, and renewed their covenant with Him.

Like Israel, the Faithful Church is also called to repentance and spiritual renewal. Confessing sins before God is an act of humility that paves the way for a deeper relationship with Him. May we take time to search our hearts, repent, and worship the Lord with sincerity. Pst newton

▪️ Theme: The Path of Honesty

*_Proverbs 20:7: 'The righteous walks in his sincerity; blessed will be his sons after him.'_*

Honesty not only blesses the life of those who practice it, but also generates a legacy for the next generations. The righteous man who walks in sincerity sets a powerful example for his children and for those around him. Integrity is a living testimony of God's presence in the life of the Christian.

Those who live righteously build something that lasts. The Lord's blessings accompany those who choose to walk in the truth, for their lives reflect divine justice. Honesty may seem like a difficult path in a world filled with corruption, but it is a safe and rewarding path for those who trust in the Lord. Pst newton

▪️ Theme: The Lord is our Refuge

*_Psalm 46:1: 'God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.'_*

In the midst of life's adversities, God reveals himself as a safe and unshakable refuge. He is not just a distant shelter, but a present help, ready to intervene in our struggles and fears. When everything seems uncertain, His love envelops us, and His strength sustains us. The world may change, but God's faithfulness remains unshaken.

True security is not in favorable circumstances, but in the assurance that God is with us. In it we find peace in the midst of chaos, hope in difficult times, and rest in times of distress. The Lord calls us to trust Him fully, knowing that His care never fails. Pst newton

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28"

As a child of God, God has given you the privilege to enjoy His rest. If you are not enjoying the rest of God, it simply means that you are still carrying your load instead of laying it on Jesus Christ of Nazareth. How do you lay it on Jesus? You do so in prayer and afterwards refuse to think about the load, and rejoice in and celebrate Jesus Christ for taking up your load. This is done in faith because we live by faith and not by sight, Romans 1:17. God has given every child of God natural gifts and spiritual gifts to profit withal. Hence, if you are laboring, it means that you still have not discovered your gift or you have abandoned it. The will of GOD for us is to work from the place of rest where there is no struggle for what we do for the LORD. Blessings

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trustee in thee. Isaiah 26:3"

Our dear Lord Jesus said to His disciples, "Have faith in God", Mark 11:22. He was telling them to consistently trust God with their mind. When you control your mind with trust in His Word, you will enjoy perfect peace. In the opening scripture, we see that we will surely enjoy the fruit of our mind when our mind is continually focused on the things of God. To enjoy the good products of the mind you need to consistently train your mind with the Holy Scriptures and fully hold unto the Word of God until you have received the blessings therein. Shalom. "Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? Mark 2:9"

Jesus Christ asked the scribes a question when they reasoned in their heart that Jesus could not forgive sins. But Jesus Christ demonstrated that He could forgive sins by healing the sick of the palsy. Jesus demonstrated that it was easier to forgive sins than to perform miracles. He is therefore teaching us that we should find it easy to forgive people who wrong us; if we harbor unforgiveness in us, it will hinder our blessings. He is also teaching us to do the easier things first before thinking about the difficult ones. Receive grace to forgive. Pst Newton

"And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Matthew 9:35"

Jesus Christ has left a legacy for us to follow. If you are a disciple of Jesus Christ you must do what Jesus did. Jesus Christ traveled from cities to villages, teaching the Word of God, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing sickness and every disease among the people. Jesus Christ made sure that the people who came to His crusade never left in the same manner in which they came; they went home fulfilled. We are to continue where Jesus Christ left off. Our primary job as Christians is to move from cities to villages, teaching the Word of God, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, and healing the sick. If we continue in the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ, the world will be a better place. Jesus Christ made life better for others and we must do the same. Blessings. Pst Newton

"Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. Mark 14:38"

Before Jesus Christ went to the cross He went with the disciples to pray in the garden of Gethsemane. He took with Him Peter, James, and John to assist Him to pray whilst He went farther. He came back on three occasions to find them sleeping. He told them to watch and pray lest they enter into temptation. The same goes for us who are born again in Christ Jesus. The only way to prevent or overcome temptation is to watch and pray. Jesus was able to overcome the temptation of the devil because He watched and prayed (Matthew 4:1-11). There is now no excuse because the Holy Spirit has been given to us to help us pray; He is also ever ready to help us to fully take control over the flesh. Let us therefore cooperate with the Holy Spirit so that He can teach us how to watch, pray, rule over the flesh, and overcome all kinds of temptations. Shalom and blessings. Pst Newton
