If Jesus Christ is in you, You cannot be a sinner, rather you've been justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

What should we be thankful for? Basically everything that God brings our way.
But what's the greatest thing he brought our way that we should live to be thankful for??

The forgiveness of sins through his son Jesus Christ, who took away the sins of the world so that we be holy and acceptable before God by faith.

Why by faith? Because we cannot please God with anything that comes from us, not sacrifice or good deeds. Good deeds from us only give us peace to coexist with one another, but God is not pleased by them coming from us (we are fallen short of his glory by our sins).

God does not require us to be good, he knows we are not.
God only wants us to believe his word.
In his word he testifies that he gave his only begotten son for our sins, so that if we believe we are counted righteous.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for (Hebrews 11:1, Gal 5:5 - we hope for righteousness because it has been provided by God), the evidence of things not seen (we walk by faith and not by sight - we cannot see the righteous nature which Christ has made us new but by faith we know we have it).

We look at the things that are not seen which is our righteous nature provided by the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Things that are not seen are eternal. We are eternally righteous, that is , purged from sins forever.

read to know what he did for you, not what you should do for him.
The children ought not to lay up for their parents but the parents for their children, so if God is our father, then we should all look to what he has done for us, what he has given us, and because he is a parent, he does it freely not for us to be indebted to him.
Religion teaches we should do and then God will look at what we've done and add onto it but that's a deception under the sun because the bible clearly states that God loved the world(us) that he "gave", he didn't ask us to give but he himself " gave" his only begotten son so that if we(now on our side) believe in him, then we know we have eternal life.
The everlasting life is not to be given in the day of judgment, no, but we already have it if we "believe" in him.
And we know that the wages of sin is death( the destiny of gehena) so if we have everlasting life it means we are no sinners, but righteous men by faith of Christ
Just like Abraham "believed" God and God counted him righteous, the same way we became the children of God by the faith of Christ, which also Abraham believed and he was called the father of faith, and as if that's not enough, God also referred to him as his friend.
What a wonder that God calls us his friends... Greater love has no man than that, that he laid down his life for us and calls us friends.
God is good because he took away the middle wall between him and us, made us equally righteous with him by faith, and now expecting till his enemies are put under his feet
His enemies are not who we think...no way! His enemies are only those people who don't believe this message.
But thankfully, he has given us power to become his children, his dear friends and not considering our bad deeds at any time.
This is truly LOVE!

Continuation of Christ's mission on earth.

If Christ's mission was to ultimately "take away", "save his people from their sins, who does the larger community of Christians dwell in the same practices of repentance and offering sacrifices, supposedly to God?
Why does the church still insist on giving and tithes?
Practices of baptisms and the sinners prayer?
Here is why, because the larger part of Christians has not yet submitted to Christ's work on the cross.
They have not resorted to his forgiveness by shedding of blood, so they insist on seeking forgiveness for their deeds.
Why do i say "submit"? Here is how the apostle Paul puts it when analyzing the reasons as to why the whole Israel has not believed in Christ Jesus, their messiah.
Here is why; Romans 10:1-3
[1]Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
Ndugu zangu, nitakayo sana moyoni mwangu, na dua yangu nimwombayo Mungu, ni kwa ajili yao, ili waokolewe.
[2]For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
Kwa maana nawashuhudia kwamba wana juhudi kwa ajili ya Mungu, lakini si katika maarifa.
[3]For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
Kwa maana, wakiwa hawaijui haki ya Mungu, na wakitaka kuithibitisha haki yao wenyewe, hawakujitia chini ya haki ya Mungu.
"Being ignorant of God's righteousness( the righteousness we receive when we believe in his finished work on the cross), and going about to establish their own righteousness( what we get when we try to observe the law of commandments), have not submitted(believed) themselves to the righteousness of God.
Here is how he seals the case..." Romans 10:4
[4]For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Kwa maana Kristo ni mwisho wa sheria, ili kila aaminiye ahesabiwe haki. Wokovu ni kwa Wote

Continuation of what was Christ's mission on earth.

Having the word of God, we are guaranteed that we can clearly understand his will, because his word is his mind.

1 Corinthians 2:16
[16]For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Maana, Ni nani aliyeifahamu nia ya Bwana, amwelimishe? Lakini sisi tunayo nia ya Kristo.

God has poured out his mind to us, that we know the love he has for us and what he intends to do with us, his word is his Spirit( first letter "S" is a cap for this word in the authorised version)

John 6:63
[63]It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Roho ndiyo itiayo uzima, mwili haufai kitu; maneno hayo niliyowaambia ni roho, tena ni uzima.

The spirit of God is the word which he has given us, to learn of his salvation, and understand his will.

By this we are confident that we can only seek answers from the Bible, and we can trust the answers we get therein.

So what should be our testimony? That which will shine him to the world?
Here is a little hint..." Matthew 1:21
[21]And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Naye atazaa mwana, nawe utamwita jina lake Yesu, maana, yeye ndiye atakayewaokoa watu wake na dhambi zao.

Read the above verse several times, because once we've understood its meaning, we've understood the mind of God.
It says, a Virgin shall conceive a son and his name should be called Jesus, the name means saviour, who shall "save" the people from their sins.
Another one..." John 1:29
[29]The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world.

Continuation of what was Christ's mission on earth.

So we see that the light we're to shine to the world is Christ, which brings us to ask ourselves the very important question; how do we shine him to be seen by the world?
Is it by doing good works so that everyone may glorify God for that? Truly, we as believers in Christ ought to have good works for the sake of those whom we encounter in the course of life, why for their sake? For this one specific purpose, that we may be able to comfortably communicate the testimony of our consciences to them without judgment from them.
Now the testimony we hold is the centerpiece, this is because doing good works will not tell people that their sins were forgiven, doing good works without communicating the gospel as clearly as it is laid out in the scriptures is an empty pursuit, because Christ sent the disciples to "preach" the gospel, the signs and miracles they did were for the Jews to see and believe because their hearts have been trained so from the beginning in the old testament God formed the nation of Israel.
The miracles were also as evidence that they had been sent from God, therefore we see their importance because the scriptures had not been completed to fulfillment, the missing piece was the new testament which was to answer, confirm and seal all prophecies and promises from the old testament by the appearing of our saviour, but at the present time we have the whole bible, old and new testament writings all compiled in one book, meaning we have the word of God to prove we have been sent by him, because then he spoke to the Israelites in different ways but now he speaks to us by his son Jesus Christ, who is the word as John defines.

John 1:1-3
[1]In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Hapo mwanzo kulikuwako Neno, naye Neno alikuwako kwa Mungu, naye Neno alikuwa Mungu.
[2]The same was in the beginning with God.
Huyo mwanzo alikuwako kwa Mungu.
[3]All things were made by him

What was Christ's mission on earth?

It may be a bit hard to understand what would bring God to the point of stepping down from glory and appearing as a man to his enemies. Why would it be hard and why enemies right?
Let's take a moment to remind ourselves of the state we were in before he appears.

Ephesians 2:12
[12]That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
kwamba zamani zile mlikuwa hamna Kristo, mmefarakana na jamii ya Israeli, wageni wasio wa maagano ya ahadi ile. Mlikuwa hamna tumaini, hamna Mungu duniani.

This verse shows us our former state as people who are not a part of the 12 Jewish tribes, people who have no promises from the God of israel( gentiles have always believed in other gods while Israel was anchored to their law in the old testament), people accounted as aliens to God, meaning he did not acknowledge us in simple terms, not being a part of his inheritance.
Ephesians 2:13
[13]But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Lakini sasa, katika Kristo Yesu, ninyi mliokuwa mbali hapo kwanza mmekuwa karibu kwa damu yake Kristo.

But now that Christ was born into the world, and shed his blood for the world, he has reconciled us to God, bringing us back into good standing with him, being healed from our past state of sinfulness whereby we could not please God.
Now the question comes, if we have been brought near to God by the blood of Jesus, how should we live godly in this present evil world?
The scriptures are clear on this, we have reborn as Gods children who should shine as lights in the world, what is this light we should shine to the world?

John 1:4
[4]In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Ndani yake ndimo ulimokuwa uzima, nao ule uzima ulikuwa nuru ya watu.

1 John 1:2
[2](For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew

If my joy is inspired by how much money i have, then i cannot rely on it, because money ceases.
If my health is my joy, then I'm standing on shaky ground because health ceases too.
If the love of friends and family is my tether, then I'm awaiting a tragedy when i lose one by any means whatsoever.
But if my joy comes from something without fluctuations, something that isn't affected by my attitudes and beliefs, something that is certain to the point of complete and eternal assurance, then this my joy is real! Knowing that God, who never changes and never looks to me or any other man for counsel but works according to his own will and pleasure, is where my joy is fulfilled.
He said, and he never lies, that "...their sins and iniquities will i remember no more", this is my confidence.
Because all my efforts to please him are in vain, my prayers has he turned his ear aside from due to my sins, my unending sins i see daily, yea every hour "...my sins are continually before me", the commandment that should give me life has concluded me under sin, the law has proved my weaknesses, but God has comforted me now that I know of his blessing in Christ Jesus our saviour, that by believing in him God has put my sins and shortcomings out of his sight, to never remember them as long as i live, till he appears again.
This is the true joy of life!
