We take this moment to send our condolence message to entire congregation of ACK Holy Trinity Parish Kibra following the passing of Mildred Akala, Chairlady of the Mothers’ Union, and beloved wife to the Vicar’s Warden, Lay Reader Maurice Akala.

Mildred went to be with the Lord on, 24th March, after collapsing while receiving treatment after a short illness.

Mildred was a long-serving and devoted member of our church, having faithfully grown in ministry from her early days in the Youth Ministry to her leadership role in the Mothers’ Union. Her journey was a true reflection of commitment, spiritual growth, and unwavering love for God’s work.

She will be remembered for her tireless dedication and service to the church, her warm and outgoing spirit, and her courage to speak up whenever things were not right. Mildred was a pillar in our community: a supportive, selfless, and gifted coordinator who gave herself wholeheartedly to every task, both within and beyond the church. Wherever there was a need, she showed up fully and faithfully, even serving diligently up to the very last moments during her uncle’s burial.

Her absence leaves a great void among us.

She leaves behind her husband Maurice and their three children, whom we uphold in our prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

A memorial service is scheduled for 16 April at ACK Holy Trinity Parish Kibra ahead of her burial on the 18th of April at her home in Butere

May the Lord grant comfort, strength, and peace to Maurice, the children, and the entire family. May Mildred’s soul rest in eternal peace. Amen.
