Look, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen is better than the fat of rams. For rebellion is like the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is like wickedness and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has also rejected you as king”.

Zaburi 24:4-6
[4]Mtu aliye na mikono safi na moyo mweupe,
Asiyeiinua nafsi yake kwa ubatili,
Wala hakuapa kwa hila.

He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

[5]Atapokea baraka kwa BWANA,
Na haki kwa Mungu wa wokovu wake.

He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

[6]Hiki ndicho kizazi cha wamtafutao,
Wakutafutao uso wako, Ee Mungu wa Yakobo.

This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
[8]Lakini sasa yawekeni mbali nanyi haya yote, hasira, na ghadhabu, na uovu, na matukano, na matusi vinywani mwenu.
But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
[9]Msiambiane uongo, kwa kuwa mmevua kabisa utu wa kale, pamoja na matendo yake;
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
