The Burning Bush Experience by Bishop Anderson Ingwe.
Exodus 3:1-7
Before Moses came across the Burning , There are significant accomplishments which he had attained just like many Christians have but one thing was missing in his life.
A) Moses had identity of who he was and took a step to live among Hebrews rather than the palace.
So have many Christians known who they are and have walked the narrow path.
B) Moses had a passion towards his people that he would kill an egytian who aggressed a Hebrew;just like many Christians have passion for God and his people.
When The passion and Identiy of Moses were challenged thru an internal betrayal...
He Fled to the wilderness and transformed himself to a herdsman...tending Jethro's Sheep and cattle.
All his passion, Identity and Strength to protect and fight for his own, was wasted by a single act of betrayal.
(I call it betrayal because, When he was asked by a Hebrew, "Do you want to kill us like you did the egyptian" , It took Moses by surprise that he even fled....at the incidence of killing there was only Moses, The dead egyptian and the Hebrew victim who definitely didn't care for the safety of Moses, despite being the beneficiary of his protection. He told the story ignorantly )
Many people have been Betrayed, Harrased by circumstances and found their environment risky to keep up with their passion and service to God...it might be your own marriage, your workplace, your community or even church organization which has made your gift Sink right into your stomach and you have resorted to just Pretend to be a herdsman, ( A man with the courage to quit royalty and live in the same country among peasants and even take one down if necessary, now just wasting days among Sheep and cattle)
But just like many Christians suffocate in the pressures of this life, Moses Found Purpose right there at the Burning Bush.
His passion was transformed into a vision
(The promised land)
and a mission statement was born (let my people Go that they may worship me)
Right there, The Leader came back to life, The warrior was alive and kicking, the passion was restored and most importantly, The fear vanished and the exile ended right there.
Moses was ready to take Pharaoh, a man he had known as a father figure, Head ON.
What happened at the Burning Bush?
at Burning Bush there are 3 profound things which happened that transformed the life of Moses completely and we all have a chance to experience the same.
1. Immediately God called Moses, Moses was curious and moved closer to see the spectacle. Right there God Taught him the reason as to why he had remove his Sandals, He was Standing in the holy presence of God.
May God reveal to you the sandals in your feet which need to be removed as we stand in his holy presence.
Sometimes we are ignorant of how much more we should shade off. May Godbinstruct us what more we should remove from ourselves.
2. After God gave Moses instructions to go back to Egypt , Moses had several excuses of how incomplete he was.
Right there God complimented his deficiencies and inefficiencies.
He behave him Aaron.
God knows Our deficiencies and Has a complimentary system perfectly in place for you and I to effectively accomplish his mission. He can fix our missing links.
3. God gave Moses the tools of assignment which enhanced his confidence.
He made his hand have leprosy upon putting in the pocket and healed it upon doing the same thing a second time.
He made the rod which Moses already had have the capacity to transform into a snake and turn back into a rod..This rod would perform mighty miracles in Egypt, swallowing the snakes of pharaohs magicians, Strike the red sea open and even perform Moses last miracle to strike water out of the rock. Moses was ready to go.
Americans call it "All Set".
This is our portion too because at the Burning Bush, Jesus says to us, (Mark 16:17-19) And these signs shall accompany those that believe ...
They shall drive out demons, they will lay their hands on the sick and the sick shall be healed.
They will trample on scorpions and It shall do them no harm.
These tools of work exist.
May You experience the Burning Bush in your life today.
Moses had an experience with God and so can you at the Burning Bush
