Subject: Women in Ministry: God's Power in Redemption

John seems not to mention in his letters any women in ministry. Gaius is a male name, so are Diotrephes and Demetrius. Where are the women? The only other place where we came close to talking about a woman was 2 John, but again there is evidence enough to believe that the "Elect Lady" referred to a congregation as a whole and not some individual.

What then, Scripturally, is the place of women in ministry? Have they an active role or just a supporting duty?

We begin to consider this subject as an extension of what we have been looking at so far in 1st, 2nd and 3rd John and as a perfect transition to our next area of study.
